"You terminate this right now!"

Here's the current situation:

It's currently 8:30 in the morning and we're currently parked outside the house where Lucas told me we'll be staying at.

However, it turns out that the entire place has been bought at a much higher price than what Lucas initially paid for.

You can just imagine the range in Lucas' eyes and the downright horror in mine when I saw the name of the person who bought an entire fucking village.

Tasha McLouis.

"We've been fucking outsmarted" Again.

I glance at Lucas who's currently a breath away from slamming his phone against the wall and throwing a goddamn fit infront of the two employees present.

"They're two, obnoxious and painfully naive women, how the fuck are they outsmarting us both?" He asks through gritted teeth, turning to glare at me. I can feel both employees cower to the side in fear because Lucas, despite his calm demeanour, is downright intimidating when he looses his cool.

I open my mouth to ask what his mother said but I grabbed his hand instead to tug him outside, briefly offering a small apologetic smile to the poor employees who are probably underpaid for this shit.

I dragged Lucas to the car and handed him the paper bag I was holding. He frowns, eyeing it with confusion.

"What the fuck am I suppose to do with that?"

"Breathe in it and calm fucking down" Despite the way his frown deepens, he still takes the paper bag and does as told. It's not like he has any choices left anyways.

"What did she say?" He leans against the car, breathing in and out through the paper bag as he shows me his phone instead of answering.

I squint my eyes, frowning upon seeing an address. Then-

"They fucking bought a house for us" I stared at the text for a few more seconds before snatching the paper bag from Lucas. I viciously crumpled it into a ball and threw it on the ground, blood boiling.

"We'll need a whole goddamn box of cigarettes to survive this day" I mutter mostly to myself but Lucas nods in agreement.

"I'm actually considering ditching this" That does sound like a great idea. I can always use my injury as an excuse for this. But-

"Who knows what those two are planning though, I'd rather know" I pause in thought before adding,

"No offence to your mother but she and my mother are a living nightmare together"

"None taken" He nods towards the car.

"Get in let's get this shit over"

Those two are indeed a living nightmare.

"We both made this house specifically for you two" Nala explains with so much enthusiasm that I'm convinced that she feeds on the misery of others in order to thrive.

"Tasha mentioned that you do pottery Nica so you'll need a lot of space" She brisk walks up the stairs, leaving me to suffer on my own.

"So I had this designated area as your studio" I stop to look at the open space with wide eyes and despite panting from dragging my ass up the stairs, I find myself impressed because it does look decent.

More than decent even.

"And look!" She yanks at my arm unexpectedly making me stumble forward and use my bad leg.

"Ow" I winced, knees buckling at the sharp pain shooting from my leg up my spine.

Before both legs could give out, I feel a steady hand around my back. I snap my head to look at Lucas, scowling slightly at the sudden proximity.

"She sprained her leg mom tone it down" He reminds a bit harshly. Nala turns to me eyes wide with concern.

"I'm so sorry!" She leaps towards me and I instinctively lean back, head butting against Lucas' chest. He doesn't comments on it, just grips my shoulder a bit tighter to steady us both.

"It's fine" I mutter hastily, offering a shaky smile of reassurance just to get her to stop.

God she's too rowdy of a woman.

After apologising two more times, she finally lets it go and directs us both to see the whole house.

As if getting burned, I pulled away from Lucas with a scowl.

"You're getting too comfortable" I can't help but say because first of all it's true and it's alarming how I don't find it alarming. He scoffs.

"Fine, next time I'll happily let you kiss the floor" He walks past me to follow Nala, leaving me in my own thoughts.

He's been getting too comfortable recently and not to mention... touchy. My instincts doesn't mind it though, which makes it weird. It's as if it can sense that he means no harm.

His touches.

My scowl deepens and I was muttering under my breath when I followed them down the hall.

"That's it" Nala concludes.

"Wait where are the rooms?" She turns to frown at me.

"I already showed you" I glanced back at the general direction of where she mentioned the rooms were.

"But there aren't any doors?" She gives me a flat look, hand on her hip.

"It's an open space house Nica, you both need to socialise more with each other if you're going to spend the rest of your lives forever and that won't happen in closed doors" My mouth parts in disbelief.

I snapped my head to look at Lucas who's currently leaning against the wall with a hand pinching his forehead.

"We'll both be off then, your stuffs should be here soon" She waves us off and makes her way back downstairs to my mother who has stayed near the front door the entire time. She casts me a shy glance and nods a bit before leaving.

We're still not on good terms... so what. It's her fault my hands are full to the point where I can't bother with her at the moment.

"Let's build a door" It's not that hard, I think. Either way there's youtube, it'll be fine. And if that shit fails there's always someone we can pay to do it.

"We can't we'll get sued" I give him a look that screams are you serious.

"We can't add walls or doors and renovate much here, they've really outdone themselves" I'm impressed.

I'm horridly impressed.

Honestly this place is beautiful with how open and bright it is from natural lighting. This is actually something I would've picked myself since I prefer these kinds of places where despite it being smaller compared to my place, it's a lot more spacey.

The only downfall is that I'm sharing it with Lucas.

I stared at the queen sized bed. The room isn't entirely a closed space. It's an area at the corner of the second floor with a wall separating it from the open space where my studio will be.

It's still a big space though despite it being fully furnished. Maybe we can fit another bed. I still hate the idea of sharing with him but it's better than sleeping on the same bed.

I turned around, craning my neck to get Lucas to look at me. When he does I smirked at him.

"Looks like you'll be sleeping on the couch"
