Chapter 4: A Wizards Offer

Austin Pov:
I sat in a wooden chair sitting across from a certain wizard with ruby sitting in the chair next to me twiddling her thumbs nervously. Glynda was standing behind us I assumed she was simply watching what was happening to make sure oz didn't do anything to crazy.
Ozpin: "Ruby Rose.." he speaks slowly leaning towards her "you have silver eyes?" She pulls back a little
Ruby: "Uh thanks?" She responses somewhat put off. Seeing her reaction he pulls back.
Ozpin: "So! Where did you learn to do this?" He states pointing towards a scroll playing the events from earlier
Ruby: "S-Signal Academy."
Ozpin: "They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?"
Ruby: "Well, one teacher in particular."
Ozpin: "I see..."
He puts the cookies on the table in front of Ruby. She tentatively picks one up, eats it in a single bite, and then, not seeing any rebuttal, shovels the rest into her mouth.
Ozpin: "It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow..."
Ruby: mumbling through her full mouth "Oh! Thwats mon uncly!" she then swallows and wipes her mouth, embarrassed "Sorry That's my Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like— Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!" She follows by attempting to do some karate chops to which I silently chuckles.
Ozpin: "So I've noticed. And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?"
Ruby: "Well... I want to be a Huntress."
Ozpin: "You want to slay monsters"
Ruby: "Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Hey, I might as well make a career out of it! I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know!" She says running her mouth a mile a minute with intense enthusiasm.
Glynda and Ozpin both look at each other Glynda with a somewhat annoyed look and Oz with a intrigued one.
Ozpin: "Do you know who I am?"
Ruby: "You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon."
Ozpin: "Hello." He retorts with a smile
Ruby: "Nice to meet you."
Ozpin: "You want to come to my school?"
Ruby: "More than anything."
Ozpin: "Well, okay."
Ruby smiles, wide-eyed and open-mouthed. Ozpin chuckles at her reaction
Ozpin: "now why don't you head home and tell your father I'm sure he'd love to hear the news"
She nods and gets up and says
Ruby: "thank you so much!"
Before leaving.

With that Ozpin looks towards me and I get mire nervous not sure what was about to happen to me
Ozpin: "now young man I believe I'm yet to learn your name or anything on you as there is no record of someone like you in vale's systems" he speaks with a kind tone yet that only made it more of putting for me. He continues showing a video of me projecting the Hylian Shield and Berkut's Lance
Ozpin: "not only did you take action immediately after becoming involved in a scenario you also did something I've never seen a semblance do before. You seemingly created weapons from nothing then used them in expert stances yet your body didn't seem to be able to use the force to use them well quite odd indeed young man could you please explain mr?"
I gulp before responding
Austin: "Austin, Austin Willgardner. I'll be honest sir I'm not exactly sure myself I just followed my instincts and things sorta just happen." I replied as that was the truth. He nods hearing my answer
Ozpin: "Ah I see there are cases of ones semblances being able to work on pure instinct but that doesn't answer why as far as I can tell you didn't exist until today?" I sat there not sure what to say when an idea came to my mind and I went with it
Austin: "then I guess my parents never got me registered." I take a deep breath "they where travellers living off the land like nomads. They died recently So I went off on my own to vale to try and survive I guess" I spoke as sincerely as I could in hopes having him believe me.
Ozpin: "Ah I see I'm quite sorry for your loss mr WillGardner but from what you've said you don't have anywhere to go do you?"
Austin: "yeah I don't why do you ask?"
Ozpin: "how'd you like to come to my academy there you'd have food, shelter and could train these abilities of yours?"
Hearing his offer I froze up but considering my options I had only one choice
Austin: "I accept."
