"What did you do?" dad looked at me with a stern look. I couldn't look in his eyes.
"I may have messed with the timeline just a little." I looked at my feet messing with my thumbs as the room fell silent. Cisco broke the silence, "How, you don't have speed.." I cut him off "I used to..." The room fell back into silence as the 3 geniuses started thinking. I was going to let them think by themselves, but I decided to tell them.
"This is not my timeline. I come from one where mom died protecting me. Dad saved me and gave me his lightning bolt and when I woke up I couldn't say goodbye. I was left with Cisco and it was ok, until you changed and became mean. Then my 16th birthday came and my grandmother came to pick me up, Cisco warned me that she would make me her test subject and tried to take away my powers. Therefore I decided to run to my past, save mom, then we could be a family."
I waited to look up, and when I did I could see confused faces behind the tears. I broke. I fell to my knees a thinking that they will never forgive me. As I was crying I felt a hand on my shoulder. Before I looked to see who it was I hugged the person. I felt another hug from behind, and waited for a third, but it never came. I heard sniffing coming from the desk area of the Cortex. I opened my eyes to see dad standing in his suit walking away from the group hug.
I broke free from the hug and ran towards him, but before I could he sped away out the Star Labs doors. I was going to give up hope, but then took this as a chance to test my speed. I ran as fast as I could to find dad. I turned street after street, looking for him. I then got carried away by a voice calling my name. I looked around for the voice and ran straight into a wall. I was knocked out, again.
I woke up in the hospital part of Star Labs, again. I opened my eyes to see my mom comforting my dad. He looked like he hadn't slept in days. He guess this is how dad looked when I was in a coma. I sat up and looked at them. Dad then stood up and wiped his eyes "We need to talk" He said this in a serious tone, so I don't think this will be good. We walked to an empty room and he sat on a random chair. I found another one and sat down as well.
He looked off for a while then locked eyes with mine. I thought about using blue on him so he would be honest, but that would not be the best idea. "So, I guess your the girl that saved your mother then." I silently nodded my head and played with my thumbs. "Well, I think you left something in the past. I was going to give it to you today for your birthday gift, but I guess it already belongs to you." He pulled out a box and handed it to me. It had pretty wrapping, but I could tell that it was a scientific box. I was afraid to open it, so I looked at dad to give me courage.
I looked up at him, and he nodded, so I opened it. It was the lightning bolt that I had taken out of the girl that tried to kill my mom. I must have dropped it when I was hugging dad in the past.
I looked at him again "Who was that girl" He smirked and then stood up, so I followed him. He took me to jail place under the lab. We walked around till we got to one cell. It was the girl from the past. She was still in the black and white suit. Her hair had grown a lot from the last time that I had seen her, but that is understandable. "This is my daughter" I thought he was talking to the girl, until I realized that the girl could not hear us. "WHAT?"
He sat on a ledge and let his legs dangle, so I did the same. I looked at him and waited for him to tell me the story. Then he finally gave in.
