Care to tell me why you're outside my house like a stalker?

"Brandon and I broke up." I announced, sitting down next to Cassie and Aiden at lunch in a café the next day.

"Wait, what?" Cassie spluttered, glancing at me incredulously.

"I dumped him. Turns out he was a complete asshole."

"Shit, Lex. What did he do?" Aiden spoke this time, giving me a protective brotherly look.

"Well for starters, he kept lying to me. Then when I said we were over, he threatened me." I snorted at the memory. God, how I even went out with Brandon, I do not know.

"Has he carried out the threat?" Cassie inquired nervously.

"It's been a day guys." I shot them a pointed look. "Besides, he didn't actually threaten one thing in particular."

"I seriously can't imagine Brandon doing that," Cassie frowned to herself. "Sorry for setting you up with him,"

"It's fine. I suppose some good things have come out of it."

"Such as, let me guess, 'Bashy Boy'?" Aiden mocked one of my nicknames for Sebastian, a smirk on his face.

"If you must know, yes, Bash has become my friend and that's good." Leaning across Cassie, I slapped Aiden lightly on the shoulder for making fun of me.

"And now that Brandon's out of the picture, will Sebastian go up the friendship rank?" Aiden wiggled his eyebrows at me in amusement.

"Friendship rank? Seriously?" I raised an eyebrow at him, avoiding the question.

"It's a legitimate thing. First there's acquaintances, then friends, then best friends, then looooovers," Aiden explained, singing the last 'friendship position'.

"Oh yeah? Then how come Cassie, you and me aren't all having a threesome?"

"She does have a point," Cassie shrugged at a pouting Aiden.

"Whatever."

"But then again, Aiden has a point too..." She trailed off, turning to look me in the eyes. "You have to admit that you and Sebastian have something there, right?"

"Nope." I answered confidently before thinking it through. "We just have that kind of friendship where we're comfortable with each other. Besides, I literally just broke up with Brandon, I don't need to be in a relationship right away."

"So you are thinking about a relationship with Sebastian?" Aiden twisted my words, winking at me.

"Shut up."

"Fine, we'll drop it if you say so but I have a feeling you're lying because I know my best friend." Cassie's words echoed in my head and were starting to make me doubt what Sebastian and I actually were.

It had been a couple of days since I broke up with Brandon and I had decided to watch one of Sebastian's boxing matches. Yes; a boxing match, not a fight. I'd had enough of seeing the brutality that came with no rules for the time being.

Carl, my favourite bouncer, let me in with what I think was a tiny smile and I blended into the crowd immediately - which was exactly what I wanted. For some reason, I didn't want Sebastian to know that I was there. I hadn't been to one of his boxing matches since I was with Cassie and everything felt so different. God, that was a long time ago. A lot had happened between then and now. Everyone was milling around and I felt so much more comfortable being here than at the warehouse where the fights were held. There were a lot less scary men and more people my age. I knew I had to find somewhere to watch the match without being spotted by Sebastian so I made my way towards the back, my short stature easily hiding me from basically everyone's view. I didn't have to wait long before the crowd indicated that the boxers were entering. I ducked down to avoid being sighted, slightly disappointed that I wouldn't be able to watch the entrancing walk Sebastian displayed.
