The first thing Sophie did was slap Lady Gisela. The loud, angry sound echoed through Sophie's large room.

The second thing she did was scream.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING HERE AFTER POISINING YOUR ONLY SON WITH SOME STRANGE LEGACY-"

She was about to swear, when Lady Gisela's sobs stopped her. She stared at her with pity- after all, she was still an elf...

A no-good, rotten, stinky, evil, lying, backstabbing elf.

But still an elf.

"You don't understand," Lady Gisela whined. "It wasn't supposed to go like this..."

Ro snorted. "I think I would take Bo over you any day."

"Me too," said Sophie.

"Please, I beg of you, put me in- in anything- keep me away from them!" she wailed.

Sandor stepped out of the shadows and said, "Gladly," as he dragged Lady Gisela away.

"That was... quick."

Sophie couldn't agree more.

But she also couldn't forget the look of pain on Lady Gisela's face...
