"Hello?" I spoke on the phone.

"Hi," Corpse responded, sounding deeper than he ever has.

"What's up?" 

"Uh... Nothing... Um... You?" Corpse asked, clearing his throat after every word. 

Something was bothering him and he was feeling anxious, which was tearing my heart cause I never want him to feel like that.

"Pretty good," I said trying to ease the nervous tension Corpse was radiating through the phone. I didn't want to press him about telling me anymore.

"Listen, Cherry, I have to tell you something, and I... I... just don't want things to change between us, and I want everything to stay..." 

"Corpse, I promise, nothing will happen okay. You don't have to tell me if you don't want too, I'm sorry for pushing you."

"No. I want to tell you, I need to get it off my chest."

"Okay, whenever you're ready."

"Uh... Okay... So... I... uh... Have feelings f-for you... Cherry?"

My heart dropped to my stomach, this was unexpected especially at this time when I was starting to give up hope that we would be more than friends. I stayed silent for a few moments, trying to believe this moment had actually happened. 

"Uh... Cherry? Please say something..."

"Corpse, honestly I am speechless. I don't know what to say exactly."
