Chapter 5: Dream World

The shiny black car pulled around, the boy opened the back door with a smile.

"I'll be seeing you back at Daylight." He said with a reasuring smile. "There still some damage to take care of."

"Thank you." I said kissing his cheek quickly. He blushed slightly and shut the door after Nate and I were inside.

"Good evening ma'am." The bald driver said glancing in his review mirror at the two of us. I nodded with a slight smile, "Thank you for taking us, to uhm..." I said looking stupid.

"Daylight." He said smiling.

"Right," I replied.

"And your welcome." He said.

I held Nate in my arms, he closed his eyes with a small smile on his round face. His thumb slowly found his way to his thumb. His eyes fluttered slightly but he didn't wake up. He looked so calm and peaceful.

"You should try and get some sleep miss." The driver said turning on a windy road. His voice snapped me back  from the thoughts.

"I don't think I can." I admitted

"Lorana was afraid of that," He said digging around the front seat. "Here." He said handing me a small bottle. I looked at him questioning his intentions. He smiled, and it made me feel bad. He seemed like a real nice guy.

"Don't worry," He said when he saw me stalling, "It will help you sleep." I nodded and uncorked the bottle and drank all the dark purple liquid. Didn't taste very good, kind of like watermelon and eggs. Or what I imagined that would taste like toghether, and before you could say "Cheese." I was out like a light, slunked over in my seat with Nate in my arms.

The smell of flowers were overpowering. I yawned  and stretched. The ocean sprayed on my face. Wait ocean? I stood up quickly, brushing the sand off my black mini dress I was still wearing. I tucked my hair behind my ears. My boot sunck into the dirty ground, the tall flowers russled behind me. I turned to a puppy coming out from the flowers. I knelt down, "Hi litlle guy."

"Hello." A voice replied, I turned around looking behind me expecting a person to be standing behind me but there wasn't a single person. Just wide empty feilds of flowers and a bright blue sky with no clouds. I turned back to the puppy and scrathed its all white head with on little black spot, that looked like a star on his forhead.

"Come on buddy." I said walking towards the shore.

"Wrong way." The voice said again.

I whipped around, "Alright enough show your self."

"Calm down." The voice replied sounding annoyed.

"No this is just weird, your talking to me from I don't know where. And to make it ever weirder your talking to me in my mind." I smacked my hand on my forhead, I was going crazy.

"It's ok, we have a connection, Look down."

I glanced down only seeing the dog staring at me. And that's when it clicked, the dog was the one talking to me. What was in that bottle!

I shook my head, "I don't get it."

"Just wake up." The dog said. What? I was dreaming.

"Chanel." I head my name being called, that was the British guys voice. A bright, golden light appeared before me.

"Go to the light." The dog said.

"Oh no, no. I know what happens when you go towards the light, your supposed to go away from it." I said turning around and starting towards the direction.

"Chanel." I heard my name again, but this time it was coming from the light. It hadthe same accent, and I could just see the outline of a person.

"Go." The dog encouraged.

I took a deep breath, "Alright fine." I closed my eyes and stepped threw the light leaving the flowers and the dog behind. Wagging its tail, kind of looking like it was smiling. The light absorbed me and everything turned black. Oh gravy, I was dead. Stupid dog!
