Lily's POV

Eleven Years Later...

"HARRY JAMES POTTER GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW OR ELSE!"

As usual, Lily was having a screaming fit trying to get both her children out the door on the first day of school. Remus, Sirius, and Marlene chuckled as Harry scrambled down the stairs with his trunk and owl. His hair was messier than ever, and he still had his toothbrush in his mouth. He set his belongings down, spat the excess toothpaste in his mouth out in the sink, and stuffed a piece of toast into his mouth.

"Yeah Harry!" whined Marlie. (she liked to be called that) "It's my first year at Hogwarts. I don't want to miss the train!"

Harry swallowed down the piece of toast. "Yeah yeah," he teased. "We all know it's only because you want to see Fred!"

Remus and Sirius roared with laughter as Marlie turned scarlet and wacked him on the arm. Lily rolled her eyes. On a day like this the Potter/Black/Lupin household was always a sight.

"Sit down Harry," she said. "Let me try to brush your hair."

Harry grinned, and sat down. Lily grabbed a wet comb and groaned as she tried to make his
hair flat.

"Oh why did you and Marlie have to inherit your father's hair?" she complained. "It's impossible to make it look neat!"

Harry and Marlie had both inherited James's untidy jet black hair. Except that Marlie's was more like a wavy mane that cascaded down her shoulders. It looked messy all the time even if it wasn't tangled.

Harry chuckled. "I don't know mum. You're the one who decided to have children with dad. You set yourself up for this."

Lily smiled. "Oh come on you! I said we'd meet Molly at quarter past ten at the latest. It's nearly ten past!"

"Okay Mum!"

Lily waved her wand; Harry and Marlie's luggage disappeared. They walked over to the fireplace, and waved goodbye to Sirius and Remus.

"Goodbye Moony! Goodbye Padfoot!"

"Goodbye!"

One by one they arrived at the Burrow. Then they grabbed their belongings and trudged outside where the Weasleys were waiting. Molly Weasley greeted them warmly.

"Oh hello Lily dear! We were wondering when you'd get here!"

Harry went over to talk to Ron, and Marlie hugged the Weasleys' only female child, Ginny. Lily went over to help put the luggage in the car.

"So Arthur?" she asked. "How is all our luggage going to fit in here?"

He looked around nervously. "Well don't tell Molly this-" He lowered his voice. "-but I tinkered around with the back to enlarge it."

Lily chuckled. Arthur had always had an obsession with things to do with Muggles. When he first met her-after she joined The Order-he had drilled her with questions about the Muggle world until Molly had stopped him. Apparently his ambition was to find out how airplanes stayed up in the air.

"Don't worry. I won't tell," she whispered, and he looked relieved.

It took a while to leave because the children kept forgetting things. Lily was glad she made Harry and Marlie double and triple check the night before that they had everything. At twenty past they were finally ready to leave, and by the time they arrived at Kings Cross they were rushing towards the platform. After all the Weasleys had gone through except for Ron, Lily turned to Harry.
