Chuuya P.O.V

I started walking home, trying to get that idiot out of my head but it seems I couldn't because he was literally FOLLOWING ME!!

"What do you want Dazai!?" Is he more annoying than usual today?

"I'm just walking home Chuuya~" he answered childishly.

"Dazai, your house is literally in the other direction." I narrowed my brows as I pointed at his stupid smug face.

"I never said I was walking to my house." the brunette looked at me like I asked a dumb question.

"Then whose house are you-" I stopped myself. "No way. You're not going to my house!"

"Why not?" the young man shrugged.

"Because... Because... BECAUSE I SAID SO!"

"That's not a proper reason, Chuuya." He replied in a mocking manner.

"Whatever," I grumbled. " Just don't touch anything okay?"

"Mm-hmm" the brunette hummed as he walked a little bit ahead of me.

We continue walking in silence until I pause to take in my surroundings, observing the cherry blossoms casting down on us. I realize that spring is almost over, which also means that our time being seniors is almost over.

"Hey Dazai." I call out, my voice suddenly aching with sadness.

"What, do you need something?" He asked, unaware of what I was going to say next.

"I was just thinking about how the school year is almost over. What are you going to do about your life afterwards?" It was hard to keep my composure, knowing very well this topic wasn't the happiest one.

Dazai stopped in his shoes and turned around, slowly walking up to me.

"I'll just spend it with you, dummy." his lips upturned into an innocent smile.

"I'm being serious Dazai!" He's 18 for crying out loud, he should at least have some clue on what he wants in life!

"And so am I?"

"Whatever" I dropped the topic and continued walking.

We finally arrive at my apartment and the first thing he goes to do is touch my stuff!

"Keep your hands off, remember!" If he keeps this up I'm going to get a damn migraine.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that." He took his hands off of what I presumed to be pictures of me when I was younger.

"When does your mom come home from work?" his voice echoed as he wandered further into the apartment.

"Around 7:00 probably." I dropped my bag down on the coach and went to the kitchen.

"Then that means we have about 4 hours till she comes. What should we do?" the cheeky bastard hugged my waist from behind nested his head into my neck.

"If you keep this up everyone's going to think that we're dating." I tried unhooking his hands from my waist.

"I don't mind, I mean why does that even matter?"

"It matters to me, okay?" I was annoyed at this point. "And get your hands off my waist!"

"Whatever." he sighed as he unhooked his hands off my stomach.

He sat himself on one of the chairs and stared at me while I started to prepare dinner.

"Whatcha making?" The mackerel twiddled his fingers.

"Baked Alaska" I said sarcastically.

"Really!" the brunette's face lit up like a little kid.

"No dumbass, I'm just making spaghetti." I poured the spaghetti noodles in the boiling water.

"What can I help with then?" he got up from his seat and motioned himself to me.

"Nothing really, it's pretty easy to make".

We continued chatting until the spaghetti was done. I took the plates out and poured both our portions of the food.

"Do you have any red wine?" Dazai asked as he waited for me to sit down with him.

"Of course I don't. Even if I did have it, I wouldn't get drunk with you again!" I slurred the last part out

"What are we going to drink then?" he poked his meatballs, playing with it like a kid.

I go to the fridge and take out the bottle of grape cider to show it to Dazai. "We'll just have this instead, they're practically the same thing."

I emptied out the cider into two champagne glasses and brought them to the table, then started eating. I continued eating until I realized a certain somebody was just staring at me.

"Do you need something?" I ask to politely break the silence.

"No" Dazai replies simply. "I was just admiring how beautiful you are." He swishes his drink gently and takes a smooth sip in. He continues smiling at me, making sure not to break eye contact.

"Whatever" I brush him off and turn my attention back to my food. We continued eating in peace until we were both done. I got up to put our dishes away but before I could, Dazai took my arm and said four simple words to me.

"Come dance with me~"

"What?" I question, unfazed.

"Come dance-"

I cut him off.

"I heard what you said, but why?" He takes a few steps back.

"Simple. I'm just in the mood for some dancing." He extends his hand out, asking me to join him. I hesitate for a moment, but then accept the gesture and grab his hand.

His soft fingertips trail down my side, getting in position.

It was awkward at first but I got the hang of it. I tried to not make eye contact with him. It was embarrassing for me to be dancing with this idiot, but at the same time it was really nice and warm. I mean, not every day does a person like Dazai ask someone to dance with him just for the sake of dancing. It was a little special to me.

We danced for who knows how long, neither of us caring about the passage of time. We were just happy to cherish this simple yet romantic moment between us. Just the two of us, dancing side by side was fine with me.
