-Reina

I was living happy with the way my high school years went.

Honestly,I believe people exaggerate about how bad high school is,all you do is just focus on school, avoid the wrong crowd, stay out of fights and drama, and get enough sleep.

Guys and girls are never serious in high school, they cheat and lie and play around with feelings because they are still growing and going through puberty.Guys are never serious and girls chase after every guy who is known to cheat.

High school was the best time for me,I was in the softball, volleyball, and soccer team and we all went to playoffs and won.

I didn't get in a relationship with any guy because I know what high school guys are like, they only care about parties, drinking, skipping class, smoking, and who gets more girls.

Its so childish and petty.

I didn't really talk to anyone but a few people.I believed that interacting with too many people leads to too many problems and drama.I focused strictly on studying and doing well enough so I could get into a good college.

I would usually be laughed at because I was always a good kid and I never did anything bad.But what's so cool about being bad?It just shows that you don't know how to act and it just shows that you aren't ready for the real world.

I closed my textbook and sighed,I checked my phone and it was 10:15 and I was exhausted.I was studying so I could write a good paper in order to be accepted to the college of my dreams.I got in the bathroom and turned the shower on.

I got inside and I washed my hair and washed my body with my favorite scented soap.

I stepped out and changed into a pair of sweats and one of my volleyball sweatshirts.

"Good night Reina."My mom said, coming inside my room.

"Goodnight mom,tell dad I said goodnight."I said,smiling.

She smiled and walked away.I walked over to my counter and I counted my money stuffed inside my drawer.

I saved up on my money so I could move out in the next year or two.I was happy with the way my life was.

Most girls in high schools are either pregnant or struggling to look for a job or doing nothing at all with their lives. Some girls are still in high school.

I counted my money and I had 6,000 dollars.

My parents didn't want me to move out so soon, but I would eventually have to move out one day.

I turned off my light and laid in bed.

I closed my eyes, but I couldn't sleep.I sat up and grunted,I turned on the tv and there was nothing interesting on.

I turned the tv off and I stared at the ceiling again.

I heard a loud crash. It sounded like it came outside.I pushed my window curtain out the way and I peeked outside.

There was a house next door and it was never bought by anyone. It always stayed empty and it was strange,it was a nice big house.

I saw a light turned in one of the rooms. It came from one of the upstairs room, and the house had two floors and an attic.I could see the room from my view.I saw a shadow and I slumped down a little bit because I began to get scared wondering if it was a ghost.

I saw a guy,he looked young. He looked like he was in his 20's.From what I could see,he had a black shirt on and black jeans, and arms full of tattoos,he had curly hair.He was unpacking and putting clothes inside one of the drawers inside the room.

Someone finally moved in.

He turned around and saw me and I quickly closed the window curtain and I laid back down.My heart was beating rapidly.

I was scared to death.

He just caught me watching him from my window.

I stared at ceiling once again,I was so tempted to check if he was still there, but I was too scared, what if I checked and he was looking straight at me again.

I soon began to drift into a sleep.
