luke is sitting by the fireplace waiting for julie and the boys to join him, while waiting he poofed in his guitar. he looked towards the tree and started thinking about how the last conversation he had with his mom was on christmas and let regret wash over him once again. he couldn't help but think if things went different where would he be, but as he looked around, he saw pictures of julie and her mom. he smiled knowing that his friend helped him find the closure he needed. he then smiled at what he had in store for her.

julie came in a minute later, wrapped in a blanket with two cups of hot chocolate.
"alex and reggie will be in soon", she said handing him his hot chocolate.
"thank you", he spoke softly.
she smiled at him, this is her first christmas without her mom but she knows she's always with her and even brought her a new addition to her family.
"do you know any christmas songs?", she asked curiously.
"actually yes i do, i even wrote some for a sunset curve christmas album one day", he smiled.
"you'll have to show me", she smiled.
alex and reggie poofed in and sat across from each other. luke started playing the first christmas song that came to his head.
after awhile he started playing a different song and julie started to hum, the lyrics playing in her head.
after he finished that song he stood up to get something out of his pocket and placed it in front of julie.
"what is this", she asked confused.
"oh it's for you, after what you did for me i wanted to do something for you as well", he said shyly, sitting back down.
julie picked up the necklace and her eyes started to water as she looked at it. it was a dahlia, her mom's favorite flower.
"luke thank you, this means so much to me", she spoke gratefully.
"of course, you know i'd do anything for you", he smiled.
his first christmas since his death was something he'd remember and he was so happy to be around his friends.
