Just like you would imagine.

Beautiful inside and out. Tall ceilings and chandeliers. Carved dark oak woodwork in the posts on the side of the hallways. Clean, clear glass with long cream sheer curtains. Potted plants and a fountain in the middle of the entrance.

Kids lined the room walking about with books stacked high in their hands. All the girls were wearing the outfit I had on, the turtle neck and skirt. The guys had a brown and black striped tie over a white button down shirt. They wore a brown sweater vest over both the shirt and tie, and had on black dress pants. Some boys had a long dark cream coat over top, but not all.

The old man pushed me aside with his walker and continued towards the stairs.
It was a straight stair case with shiny silver railings and tan marble stairs with mixed in dark brown streaks. I carefully began walking up the stairs and followed the man.

I stopped in the middle of the stairs to readjust the bag in my right hand, and heard a pencil drop behind me. I turned around and faced all the kids. Turns out they had the same idea. Every kid in that room was looking right at me. Girls whispered and guys looked confused.

My face got hot and I knew it was red. The old man looked back at me and motioned for me to come up the stairs to the second floor.
I took one last look at everyone.
They all looked rich and mean, but I couldn't judge.

I began up the stairs again from where I had stopped and made it up to the old man who handed me the keys to my room, 225.

"Here's your room miss, if you need anything I'm always downstairs. Okay?"

I looked down at the keys and shook them in my hand.
"Yea, sure... What did you say your name was sir?"

He took his snow covered beanie off and folded it into his coat pocket.
"Maki"

"Oh, okay. Thank you Maki, for you know... leading me here."

He looked at me with sad eyes.
"I know this is hard for you honey. I promise you belong here and everything will make sense soon."

I nodded my head and looked back down at my keys. Shinning gold with a dark oak top.
"Thank you Maki, I mean sir."

"No please, call me Maki. I'll be going now Sienna."

My eyes shot up and I stared into The old mans eyes
"Maki.... how do you know my name?"

"Like I said, "
Maki looked behind him and then touched my shoulder.
"You belong here."
The old man grabbed a hold of his walker and made his way back down the stairs.
