"Come one! Come all! For I have a magnificent deal for a magnificent steal; I assure you: your gold will not be wasted on what I have to offer!", a jovial man called loudly.
He waltzed in a fantastical garb of fine silks and jewels, waving bells, strongly perfumed flowers and incense through the street. The sweet smelling smoked pooled around him in a faintly blue haze, trailing down the cobblestone road, making him look light and ethereal as his bejeweled sandals barely grazed the path he strode.
He would knock on everyone's doors and have them slam it in his face. His smile wavering a little at each. Until I heard his sequined and beaded sandals gracefully chime and dance up toward my door.
He sung a pleasant rhyme, "Good morning kind ma'am, could I offer you some jam, 'twas brewed with the fruit, sung to by the finest of lute, I hereby offer it to you, for the magic it can do, the fine price of a gold, consider it sold."
I considered his offer, it did seem quite tempting but I only had four silvers and a single copper coin. I despised the thought of slamming my door at his eager smile.
So I lied the young wizard, "I have nothing but a single copper coin, is there anything I might be able to trade instead?"
He must have been able to see behind my lie, as he held out all of the four silver coins I was hoping to save. He then clicked his tongue and whispered quite menacingly, "Just now, you see, if you offered these to me, you could walk away from our meeting with some jam you could be eating but instead you chose to lie and to that I ask why?"
I should probably continue this but idk how. I also don't really know if anyone likes the concept; this book is mainly a trial one.
