My Story

Chapter 1

Hi, my name is Amelia. I am 15. My birthday is next week! I hope I get the one thing I truly want. I'm pretty excited about it. Also I'm an only child. Some people say that means more presents for you! I don't know if I think that's true. "Amelia, please come downstairs so we can go to the store!" My mom said. My dad passed away in the Military. So me and my mom do a lot of things and to be honest it's kinda stressful sometimes. Mom is always in a rush and wanting one thing done so she can move on to another. I help her as much as I can. I walked downstairs to mom. We got the van and went to the store. "Do you have a list of things we need?" I asked. "Uh hold on honey... yes, here you go." She said. Ok,so we need, Shampoo+Conditioner, dish soap, toilet paper, milk, orange juice, bacon and Mac and cheese. I love Mac and cheese! It's so good and I just like the texture. We arrived at the store and I got out of the passenger side and walked inside to get a cart. Mom was behind me holding the list of groceries we needed. She took the cart and I got the list and we went to the bathroom isle. We got the Shampoo+Conditioner and we headed to the kitchen/food isle. There, We found Dish soap, milk, orange juice and Mac and cheese. We found the bacon in a freezer. We couldn't find any toilet paper so we checked out and got in the car. We decided to go to another store to get toilet paper. We finally got the toilet paper and got out of the store. The store was very crowded for some reason. It took us forever just to get checked out! We started to head home. But there was this car in front of us that was going extremely fast. I was pretty scared and mom told me everything would be ok and that we would be ok. I figured the same thing and let it go. But then... just out of the blue... no stop sign, no turn, no stoplight, nothing. And the car in front of us slammed on their brakes and stopped very fast. Mom tried to hit her breaks to but she just wasn't fast enough. All of a sudden, CRASH...
