Chapter 5

Bryce POV;

I was going to leave the room. But, I heard my name being called. It was Addison. "If you wanna join in on family nap time, you are more than welcomed." I then climbed into bed beside Brielle. I fall asleep quickly. When I woke up, I was confused at first, especially since I didn't recognize the room. And I was alone. I walked downstairs.

Brielle: Hey, Sleepy, Head.

Beckham: Hey, that's what mommy says to us.

A: I was just warming up dinner. You can sit at the table if you want.

I sat at the table and put Brielle and Beckham in their high chairs. Addison then came bringing four plates to the table. We all ate.

Brielle: Daddy, are you going on any more work trips.

B: No, I am back for good.

Brielle: Does that mean you are going to move in with mommy?

B: I don't think so, but I will be here as much as possible.

Addison went to clean up as I made the popcorn and got snacks for the movie. After making the popcorn and getting snacks, I put it all down in the theater room. I had begun to get pillows, and we all had a pillow fight. The kids loved every bit of it. The movie had started, and Addison and I had sat next to each other with a twin in each of our arms. We had been watching the Lion King, which apparently had been one of many of the twin's favorite movies. Halfway through the movie, I put my arm around Addison, who had fallen asleep. Suddenly I heard someone screaming.

T: Hey, Addison, where are you?

Tayler finally showed up in the theater room

T: Well, well, what do we have here? It looks like the family has made their way back together.

A: Bryce, please take the kids to bed.

Addison kissed both children and said that she loved them and would see them in the morning.

A: Really, Tayler, this is what we do now? Come into my home, drunk in front of my children.

T: You aren't one to be pointing fingers right now, Addi. I mean Bryce, showed back up in La yesterday, and he already has you wrapped around his finger.

A: He is here for the kids, Tayler. Nothing has happened. His arm was around me because I fell asleep. Bryce is here so that he can have a relationship with his kids. No matter what happened between Bryce and I will never be selfish and not allow him to see the kids. Their kids too, and if the kids want him here, then he is here.

T: So what I was your for then, and since Bryce is back, you are cool with being under his trap again. Ugh, Addison, how could you be so dumb. I mean, you must now you are dumb, right. Let me remind you that when you and Bryce broke up, he left and broke all contact with you. If it weren't for me, you would've had to be pregnant all by yourself.

A: You can not be serious right now, Tayler. You are drunk, so you don't mean what you are saying.

T: I loved you, Addison. I stuck by you in the hardest times. I was there for the twins. I stood around those nights you cried yourself asleep. So tell me, how Bryce comes back and all of a sudden you guys are playing house. You know what? Don't answer that. I'm moving out by the end of the week.

Addison POV:

I stood there crying. How could Tayler say all those hurtful things? Although I still love Bryce, I wasn't falling into every word he had been telling me. All of a sudden, I felt two strong arms around my waist.

B: Hey Addison, I heard what happened, and I'm sorry

A: Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything.

B: But I did. I left and cut off communication when you needed me most. I'm trying to fix things for us. But, also for the kid's sake. I want to be around for the kids because I want to be the best dad to those beautiful twins. And hopefully, along the way, their beautiful, intelligent, kind mother will give their father another chance. Because I realized letting her go was definitely the dumbest mistake I could have made.

A: Do you mean that, Bryce?

B: Of course, I do Addison, I love you; I never stopped loving you. But I also understand that you need time, so I'll give it to you. But, I promise Addison Rae that you will be Addison Rae Hall one day, and we will be a family. And I would love to have more children with you too.

Bryce had begun to lean in. And Addison then too. They began to kiss. I thought about how good Bryce's lips felt. Oh, how I've missed his lips. Bryce slipped his tongue in. I then managed to speak room. Bryce carried me to the room. When the realization came over me. Bryce, we need to stop.

B: I'm sorry Addison, I should have. I can leave if you want

A: No, no, you're fine. I just don't think we should go to that level yet. But, I am willing to give us a try—just a little slow.

B: It's getting late. We should sleep. Where the guest room

A: Bryce, you can sleep in here tonight. It would be nice. I've missed your touch.

Bryce and Addison had been sleeping. When they heard loud cries. Addison jumped up quickly. Bryce got up, "let me get this one please". Bryce got up to see Brielle crying, and Beckham confronting her.

B: What's wrong baby girl?

Brielle: I had a nightmare.

B: How about you two come and sleep in mommies room.

Bryce picked both of the children up and brought them into Addison room. Looks like someone had a nightmare, and wants to be with mommy. The twins laid between Addison, and Bryce. Addison whispered to Bryce, "You know that I used to dream about times like this. All of us in one bed the big happy family" Addison then begun to cry.

"Why are you crying Adds?" "I just never expected this to happen, I'm happy you came back Bryce, but promise me that no matter what happens between us you'll always stick around for the kids" "I promise" Bryce said holding up his pinky finger
