It had been a day since Peter ran out of the Diner and nobody had seen him since.

May was a mess to say the least.

She was scared he had gone and gotten himself killed -but of course she couldn't tell anyone that.

Happy had, had to go back to his family but said he'd stay in touch while they looked for Peter.

"Yeah I'll try, thanks Ronnie" Ge replied kissing her cheek.

It was Sunday and Peter and Ned were in his room after Peter showed him the letter.

"I don't know what to say, Peter" Ned Said to him, sitting on his bed.

"It's still all my fault though" Peter spoke quietly, slouching in the desk chair.

"No it's not -n-no one could have known" Ned replied.

Peter just shook his head.

"Why don't we go to that cafe we like and clear our heads? May as well get some Peter time while I can" Ned chuckled to himself.

"Sure, Ned, sure" Peter replied, reluctantly getting up.

They were at the cafe having coffee in a corner table when suddenly Peter heard a familiar voice -MJ.

She was walking over he could hear her but she wasn't alone.

"Yo doofus what's up? Who's th-" she cut herself off when Peter looked up at her.

"P-peter what are you-" She said -shocked.

"Surprise visit. How are you?" Peter said politely trying not to stare at MJ and Brad holding hands.

"We're good thanks. What about you? How's Riverdale?" She asked but clearly not interested.

"It's fine" Was all Peter said.

"Anyway we should go, bye Peter" MJ said as she strolled out of the cafe -Brad attached at her hip.

By night time Peter was determined that he was going out into the city to reminisce the good old days.

Ned had told him not to but he went anyway.

He lay on the pavement as people gathered around him -one of the drug dealers had shoved him off the 12 floor building.

Usually he would have dodged it but his head was out of the game and the drug dealers had a lot more back up than he was expecting.

He had at least three broken ribs, a broken ankle and his face was well -fucked.

He got up and slowly fought them off, tying them up with webs. He slowly swung and hobbled back to Ned's.

When he got back to Ned's he had to lay down he was in excruciating pain everywhere -it was nearly unbearable.

"Peter I told you not to go out!" Ned huffed -upset at how badly Peter was hurt.

"Yeah well it's a bit late for that" Peter said back lying on the bed in the spare room.

Ned grunted. "We'll just rest now and heal quickly please" Ned said before walking out the room.

Peter lay there all night and all of the next day he could just barely move -but he had to get home.

"I'll call you" Peter said to Ned at the bus station.
