Steve had his hands on his hips, a mixture of resignation and disbelief on his face. He looked over at Tony, who was already half-smiling in anticipation of some fun. "Is it really necessary to have a party every time we finish a mission?"
Natasha crossed her arms, rolling her eyes at Steve with an amused smirk. "Let him flaunt his money, Rogers. No one minds free food and drinks."
Clint, hearing the words "free food and drinks," perked up and joined in. "Did someone say free food? I'm in."
You stood nearby, trying to act like a "grown-up" amidst their banter, but on the inside, you thought, 'I wish I was an adult...'
Suddenly, the ground seemed to tremble with loud, heavy footsteps. Clint looked around, eyebrows raised, visibly concerned. "Uh... is that an earthquake?"
Bruce shrugged, calm as ever. "Nope, that's just Thor."
Before anyone could respond, Thor stormed into the room, looking visibly angry. His booming voice filled the room. "STARK! WHAT DID FURY MEAN BY I CAN'T TAKE LOKI?!"
Tony turned, about to respond, but before he could even finish, Thor had closed the gap, gripping Tony's collar and lifting him off the floor in one swift motion. Tony managed to choke out, "Point Break, can we talk like civil people? My kid is here."
You watched, wide-eyed, as Thor continued to lift your dad, and before you could even think, you muttered, "Dammit—oh... shit."
Thor immediately released Tony, who dropped down, slightly dazed but mostly annoyed.
Thor turned, eyes wide, looking right at you. "D-Did she just swear?"
Steve, standing just behind you, turned slowly in your direction, looking seconds away from delivering his classic "Language!" line. Thor looked back at Tony. "Stark, did your kid just...cuss?"
Tony, catching his breath, gestured toward himself as if to point out his still-sore neck. "Are we just going to ignore the fact that Thor nearly choked the life out of me?"
Natasha, who still had her arms crossed, arched an eyebrow. "That's second on our list, Stark. First is your kid cussing."
Bruce gave you a disappointed look, his hands on his hips, shaking his head slightly. "Really, kid?"
You pouted, feeling a little embarrassed. "Sorry, Dad—"
You started to walk toward Tony when, with impeccable timing, you stubbed your toe on the edge of a table. "Ah... shit—uh, here we go again..."
Thor pointed at you, his gaze snapping back to Tony. "That...is typical Stark behavior, I assume?"
Bruce gave Tony a strict look, sighing, "Tony, don't you dare laugh—"
But it was too late. Tony burst out into hearty laughter, his face filled with pride. You could tell he was thrilled at your Stark-like slip-ups. Deep down, he was clearly proud you'd inherited his spirit.
Steve crossed his arms, sighing in a mix of disapproval and amusement. You gave them all your most innocent look, trying to appear contrite, though you were still a bit amused yourself.
Tony, still grinning, looked at you with a glowing expression. "That's my kid, everybody!" He gave you a proud nod, his eyes crinkling as he smiled. "And the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree."
