I was a single feather, floating in the air, but the wind destroyed me and threw me on the ground.

I wonder why I keep seeing this single feather. It looked so peaceful, so bright and so majestic.

“Eve!” There was a lot of noises. A lot of people talking. A lot of ‘beeping’ sounds. There was an endless amount of white in the room that I opened my eyes to.

Where was I?

Two arms circled my body, holding me dear. I was crashed between them. “Eve! Thanks Goodness.”

A voice. A voice. A female voice.

She removed her arms from me and stared at my face. She did look old but not that much. Maybe in her forties.

“How are you feeling? We just called the doctor to make the final checks on you.” Her eyes was burning with happiness.

Who was she?

“What?” I narrowed my eyes confusingly, and looked around the room. There were three other beds. One beside me, and the other two were on the opposite side of me.

And two men were looking at me.

One was very tall and the other was short. Both of them stood there watching us with wide eyes.

“What don’t you remember?” I returned my gaze to the woman who now sat on the edge of the bed.

“Hmm?” I furrowed my eyebrows.

“You lost your conscious when you came back to us three days ago!” Suddenly I just wanted to be as far away as I can from her.

Three days ago? Lost my conscious?

I started feeling my head banging, and I couldn’t speak for a moment. There was something deeply wrong here. It made me feel weird.

“Are you okay?” The woman asked me when she saw me holding my head. She turned back to the two men when I didn’t answer.

The short man stepped in. He was wearing a white coat. “Eve. I’m doctor Claude.” He introduced himself to me, smiling faintly, and I couldn’t return it. “Let me explain what’s happening.” Even though my head was thumping hard, I tried my best to listen to him.

What’s happening?

These two words rang in my head but I pushed them away.

“But first let me ask you a few question just to make sure.” Again he gave me his smile. It didn’t look that assuring. “Do you remember these two’s name.” I looked at their faces for a few minutes, they were familiar. They looked, smelled, and acted so familiar as if they were my long lost friends. But, I shook my head.

Their eyes widened and looked like the woman wanted to say something but the man prevented her. “Then do you remember my name?”

“Claude.” He nodded in approval and wrote something on his board.

“Good, that means that you are still in the tracks with me.” He looked at me again with his brown eyes. “Do you know why you are here?”

Lost your conscious when you came back to us three days ago. I shook my head again.
