Louis got on the stage and the fans freaked out: they were throwing roses, teddy bears and even phones! Louis took some phones and called the mothers, then began to sing.
While he was singing, he saw someone in the crowd, who was simply watching him, without screaming. It was gently smiling at him and Louis' heart skipped a beat: it was Harry. Harry had paid just to come see him in LA. Louis' head had never felt so light and dizzy. He tried to look away but his eyes were firmly attached to Harry's: blue and green. In Louis' head some words were starting to come around and they weren't of some song: at least, not of some song Louis had already written.
I come runnin' to you
Like a moth into flame
You tell me "Take it easy"
But it's easier to say
Wish I didn't need so much of you
I hate to say, but I do
We're sleeping on our problems
And we'll solve them in our dreams
Wake up early mornin'
And they're still under the sheets
I'm lost in my head
I'm spinning again
Tryin' to find more to say to youBeen up all night
All night but you know my lines
But it's only the truth
Been up all night
Not sure how to say this right
Got so much to loseIn some way, Louis knew those words were for Harry. His mind didn't work normally: he could spend months thinking at a lyrics and then in a few minutes it would have come, simply, plainly, easily. Louis sighed and kept singing. At least now he knew he had one of the three songs Simon had requested.
At the end of the show he was looking for Harry and then he heard a familiar chuckle and immediately turned. "Loueh" Harry said "I did surprise you!"Louis bit his lips not to laugh. "Yeah, well...Are you from LA or something?" "I actually am, but I live in London right now. When I heard you would be singing here, though...I couldn't say no!" Harry affirmed, and Louis, even if he was trying hard not to, chuckled slightly. Harry's eyes shone. Louis was noticing them just now, but his eyes were definitely something: they were bright, green, pure, like real emerald. "I made you laugh!" he said, excited. He looked like a kid most times, but not when he said those sensual things touching him...Louis heard a familiar voice and shook himself from his thoughts. "LouLou" Eleanor said "who are you talking with? Do I know you?" she asked then Harry. The curly one smiled, but Louis could definitely feel something in his smile was fake. "Oh no, I'm just a...friend of Louis here, but I'll leave him to you" Harry said, and left, not even waving at Louis or smiling at him. Louis' heart was pounding: why did he leave so fast? Was Eleanor's presence that annoyed him? Maybe he was jealous...Louis pushed away that thought, immediately. "LouLou, we have to go...the hotel's restaurant waits for us" Eleanor told him; he nodded and, holding her hand, followed her.
The hotel's restaurant was at least as luxurious as the hotel and, while Eleanor kept giggling and her beautiful eyes (not as beautiful as Harry's though) were shining, Louis felt a bit uncomfortable. "If I had it my way, pub lunch every Sunday, cheap beer and it's okay" he said to Eleanor. She looked surprised. "I know you aren't very comfortable in this luxurious atmosphere, but you're famous and you'll have to deal with it, sometimes" she replied, gently. Louis sighed, but was glad Eleanor could always help and understand him.
They ate at 10 pm and Louis knew the restaurant had been opened so late just for him and this made him feel weird. Anyway he tried to enjoy his time with his girlfriend, at least until Simon entered the room. Louis didn't hate him, really, but he just couldn't stand him most times.
Simon joined them and started to talk with Eleanor about things Louis should have been doing. Louis got up to take something to drink at the pub and to distract himself. "One vodka" he asked. He never drank those alcoholic things, but this dinner he felt he needed it. The barman turned and Louis asked himself how could he not recognise him: it was Harry. Obviously.
"Loueh" he said "why are you drinking this thing?" "Give me that" Louis ordered, briskly. Harry chuckled, but he seemed cold and off. "Whatever" he answered, giving Louis the glass. Louis was surprised. "What, aren't you gonna make stupid jokes or flirt with me?" he asked. He missed Harry's stupid jokes and, definitely, Harry flirting. Harry scoffed. "You have a girlfriend" he said "so it doesn't matter what I do, your heart will never be mine. Neither your body" he added quickly: Louis knew Harry didn't feel comfortable in opening at him so much. "I don't-" "Did you know, by the way, that vodka is gay? I'm sure it isn't the only one here right now, though" Harry said, smirking. He seemed to have found again his usual humour. Louis lost a breath, blushing. "LouLou, is this the same friend as before?" Eleanor asked, joining them. Harry turned, pretending to clean some glasses. Louis knew he wasn't good at faking. "Uhm...yeah" he answered. "Oh, why are you so red? Have you drunk too much?" Eleanor asked. Louis perfectly knew his cheeks weren't red because of vodka, even because his glass was still full, but Eleanor probably was thinking it wasn't the first. Louis drank all his glass' liquid. "I hope you don't get a headache" she said, kissing him on the cheek and leaving them alone in the room, walking out talking with Simon who, strangely, had ignored Louis. Harry turned again, and his cheeks were slightly red. "I don't care what you feel" he said, coldly "I don't want to have problems just for you, so I'll just change my prey." Louis' mind was starting to feel dizzy, but he still could understand him. "I am not worth it?" he asked, disappointed. Harry shook his head. Louis was sure he could hear a loud crack in his heart. "Well then, why am I still here? I should prob-" Louis couldn't finish his sentence because Harry had kissed him.
Louis returned the kiss, holding Harry's shirt because he didn't want him to leave him. He felt he needed him. Harry put a hand on Louis' neck, sending shivers down Louis' spine, and Louis sheepishly ran his fingers though Harry's curls. They were out of breath and their cheeks were bright red, as their lips. Harry slowly broke away from him, holding tightly his hands. Louis breathed heavily and looked at Harry: his bright eyes and his swelled lips made him want to kiss him again. "Loueh" Harry said, and he didn't have no humour or irony in his voice. He seemed to understand how truly broken Louis was in that moment. "Harry" Louis murmured, his voice cracking. "I...I want to...but I can't..." he said, and a brave tear came down his eye. Harry cleaned it away quickly with a gentle touch, then he smiled. "I know, Loueh" he simply said. And then he turned, expecting Louis to leave. But Louis hold his arm and kissed him again, hungry, because he knew they couldn't have been doing it for so long. "By the way" he said, against his lips "my heart is already yours."
