(Adira's P.O.V.)
I walked over the stone path towards the barnes with my race horses. I walked into the feeding room and gathered some supplies for King. He still needs to get treated for some burn wounds. Eventhough the accident happened a couple of days ago. I grabbed some ice packs and a bucket with his breakfast. I walked over to The Black King's stable. He wasn't able to be in the field. Horses with burns need to be in the shadow during recovery. So he is a little bit angry about that whole idea. But lucky for him he is allowed to go out again. I arrived at his stable and put the bucket with his feed on the ground. As he dugg into his breakfast, I carefully removed his previous bandage and laid the icepacks carefully on the burned areas. This helps to reduce pain. I walked back to the feeding room to prepare the feed for the rest of the horses. Because the icepack needs to be on for a couple of minutes. After I had feeded all of the horses and checked on them. I walked back to the feeding room to grab some other supplies from the medical cabinet, like gauze bandage. King was almost finished with his breakfast so I quickly but with care put the fresh gauze back. The last thing I had to do before I could put him in a field was get him some protection from the sun. In the tack-room are some blankets. I only needed a light blanket. "A fly sheet would do the trick" I said as I reached for his red fly sheet. Eventually I walked with the big stallion to his field. He was so excited, prancing and making noise beside me. I smiled at the horse "you excited?" I asked him shaking my head. I turned him towards me so I could take his halter off. "Just hold on, King. I have to take this halter off your head first" I said reaching to unclip the halter. It dropped to the floor and immediatly he ran further into the field. I smiled as I watched him be a happy horse. After a couple of minutes I went back to the stables and let the other horses out to the fields, before mucking the stables out. I told some stablehands to take the week free. I just wanted to take my mind of off everything. So I was doing everything at my racing barn for the next week. I didn't mind, I loved doing this. As I was sweeping the inside of the stable. A sound made me look up. I scoffed and shook my head as I saw Alfie walking up towards me holding a basket of bread.I was not in the mood to talk to someone. "What do you want Alfie?" I asked him as I continued to sweep the floor. "Can't I bring my dearest friend some bread?" He responded. "You've known me for what? 15 year? And still can't remember that I dont like bread?" I asked him. "Give it to your 'orses then" he said and shrugged putting it down on a near by workbench. I chuckled and rolled my eyes. It went silent in the barn. Only the sound of my broom sweeping against the concrete floor. "So other than bringing my horses some bread. Why are you here?" I asked putting the broom away. "Wanted to talk to you" he replied, "alright. Follow me" I said and walked out the barn. Alfie followed me towards my house and up the stairs to my office. "Have a seat" I said and pointed to the chair in front my desk. He sat down, meamwhile I grabbed two glasses and a whiskey bottle. I put one down in front of him and the other in front of me. I opened the bottle and filled my glass and then his. My office, my whiskey, then I am first. I don't care who is in front of me. "Well? Go on, I aint got all day" I said and sat down in my chair and mentioned him to start talking. My office went silent as I stared at him and took a sip of my drink. I listened to him ranting on about his business and then one way or another he changed the topic to Thomas. Let me be clear that Alfie already knows what had happened a couple of days ago. So knowing this I was getting more angrier. "I don't want to hear his name, Alfie" I said speaking through Alfie with a low growl, but he ignored me and continued talking about him. My anger boiled over and I grabbed the bottle of whiskey amd threw it at the wall behind him. "Dont speak that name in here, Alfie!" I screamed at him. He rolled his eyes at me.
And in need of some serious anger management" he responded, "I don't need anger managment. I need people to stop making me angry" I sneered at him. I calmed myself down and walked over to the wall where the bottle was smashed against. I bend down and grabbed up the broken pieces of glass. I heard Alfie get up from his chair. "Listen to me. You have castles inside your bones, coronets in your heart. If he threatens you with a battle, you raise him a whole war. Queens cower before no man" he said. He grabbed my chin and made me look at him "last I checked. You are a true queen".
