It all started with Safeway.
No, it started with her father.
Wait, that's not right... It started with her father, because of the cashier at Safeway.
That's it.
Much better.
Milah Rose is a high school student, who has already dyed her hair, and lost a lot of weight. She had grown out her hair, finally, after never cutting it short from eight-grade.
It was a black base, with bloody red streaks.
She thought it was beautiful.
Her father? Milah hadn't a clue, but she thinks he doesn't like it.
Milahs a seventeen-year-old Junior, at San Mateo High School, some place in California.
But she wasn't a California Girl.
She was Oregonian.
Portlandian.
Keep Portland Weird.
Being the mushroom she is, her skin was... Paler, than others.
She always felt like an outsider, that she'd never actually "fit" in certain places, areas. She understood society, and it's cruel, cruel ways.
"I was at Safeway, today, and I told one of the baggers that he shouldn't show his tattoo at work; so he started to glare at me, and acted rude! It was just... Rude!" Milahs father exclaimed, talking to his wife.
Fortunate, Milah had overheard.
Because if she didn't, we wouldn't have a story here.
But don't leave, just because it's about a Cashier/Bagger.
Things get better.
Just you wait.
