The neighbor Saved me

I was coming home from work and I was exhausted. I finally made it home when I noticed a new neighbor.  I sighed seeing the bike in the garage. I just hoped they weren't going to be loud. I work stressful shifts every night. I got inside and take a really hot shower and then grab some dinner. I crawl in bed and pass out quickly. When I wake the next morning I head outside to check my mailbox. I was scanning through it when a throat clears and I scream. I drop all my mail and spin around in panic. 

"Sorry" The stranger says 

I bend down to pick up my mail and stand back up. 

"Jesus don't sneak up on people like that" I snap

"I said Hello twice" He says 

"Oh. Sorry. I guess I got lost in my own thoughts." I tell him 

"Alexander" He says

"Cassidy" I say shaking his hand

"How long have you lived here?" He asks

"A few years now." I say 

"Nice. Well i'll let you get back to it. Have a nice day" He says

"Yeah you to" I say 

He nods and walks off and I head back into my house. I grab something to eat and then get dressed to go on my run. I walk out my door and plug in my ear buds and I take off for my jog. I run my normal route and then when I come back I see a bunch of bikes parked next door and I sigh. I see a bunch of heads snap up as I get closer and as I run past them I see Alexander look me up and down. I stop in my drive way and stretch out a bit and then i jog up to the door. I open it and walk in and head for a shower. Once I was done I got dressed and just as i reached the bottom step I hear banging on my front door. I jump back in fear when it stops and starts again. I walk over to the window and see Alexander looking over and I wave at him. He looks at me and frowns and I point to my front door. He nods and heads over and when he gets close I hear Jake start cussing at him. I jump again when something slams into my front door. 

"Cassidy" I hear

I rush over and open the door to see Alexander standing there and Jake driving off. 

"Thank you" I whisper

"Who is he?" He asks softly

"My ex" I say flinching

"Cassidy look at me" He commands

I peak up at him and his eye soften. 

"Darling be honest with me is he abusive?" He asks

I nod and stiffen after saying it out loud. He growls deep in his chest and I take a step back in fear. 

"Woah Darling i'm not gonna hurt ya. Shut and lock your door and i'll be back in five minutes" He tells me

I nod and shut it and lock it and I see him walk to his house and then he comes right back with several men following him. He knocks and I open the door. 

"Can we come in darling?" He asks

I peak around him and flinch. 

"They aren't gonna hurt ya." He says softly

I nod once and he steps in and they all follow him. I walk over and crawl into my big chair and sigh. 

"Cassidy this is Demon, Mac, Trigger and Bullet. They are my brothers. They will be coming over in the next couple of days and installing a alarm system for ya along with some other stuff. Where do you work?" He asks softly

"I'm a nurse at the hospital in town." I say quietly 

"Alright not a problem. Someone will follow you to make sure you get there safely and get home safely. Where is your phone?" He asks
