Tamaki took a deep, stuttery breath. He took in the scents of everything around him. Deep. Rich. Subtle. The raven-haired boy would usually do this with his eyes closed and his forehead pressed against a cool wall, but right now there was no one to be found in the common room of his dorm. There was no one to hide from at that moment. Everyone was asleep, and he was in love.

He was in love with the serene silence of the common area. He was in love with the scents that he found around him. And he was mostly in love with the warmth and coziness of being wrapped up in a thick, fleece blanket, while sitting and enjoying a fragrant cup of coffee, and a movie on his laptop.

Or at least he WAS in love with all of that, if it wasn't for the tall, black-haired boy that had walked in the common room from the second floor of the dorm building, disrupting the peace of the silent night.

"Haaah." He let out a sigh just as Maki-kun let out a yawn.

"Can't sleep again?" Maki asked. He was familiar with Tamaki's night owl habits, as he was the same way. Maki was never one to sleep easy, and they usually found each other in the common area on sleepless nights.

Tamaki didn't answer, he just looked and blinked at Maki in response.

"Me n-neither." He says. He was also familiar with Tamaki's lack of vocal response, as he also didn't like talking to people or even liked people. Tamaki was different, though. Not that Maki didn't think of the older boy as anything other than a person, it was just that speaking came easily to him when it was to Tamaki.

Maki sauntered over to the kitchen, where he helped himself to a cup of coffee. Tamaki listened to the movement that came from the taller, slightly clumsy boy. Soon, Maki came back over to where Tamaki was seated.

"Can I sit here?" He asked.

No reply. Just a small scoot to the side of the couch. But that's all that Maki needed. He sat down and watched the movie with Tamaki. No speaking, just the sound of the movie and their even breathing. The occasional yawns were also present.

Tamaki's eyelids started to gain some weight. The heaviness causing him to close his eyes. The warmth of the body sitting next to him, and the gentle hum of the laptop resting on his knees led him to drift into a calm sleep.
