Enjoy!
My heart lurched in my chest as I stood rooted at my spot while staring at mason, who has been beaten senseless probably minutes before I got here.
He lifted his head up slightly and made eye contact with me. I could see a small spark light up in his eyes as his lip curved upward on one side. He then flinches as Alejandro places the knife against his neck.
I didn't know I was crying until a tear ran down my cheek. No...
"I am not going to ask you again Calina. Who is this man?" Alejandro barks out.
"I-I," I stutter. I couldn't get the words out as I felt my throat constrict.
Mason groans as Alejandro yanks his head back and places the knife right next to his jugular. "One slice is all it takes and he will bleed out and die," he whispers menacingly.
My eyes widen in horror. "No please don't!" I beg him.
"Then answer the fucking question Calina!" He bellows.
"He-he," I stutter again.
"Fuck this," he rolls his eyes impatiently. The knife just breaks the skin as I start to see red drip down. No!
"Mason! His name is Mason. Now please don't kill him," I plead with blurred eyes.
He takes the knife away from his neck and places it on the table beside him. He then proceeds to walk my way as he stares down at me with fondness. "Now, that wasn't so hard was it?"
I shake my head as I stare at the blood dripping from Mason's neck. He sends me a pained expression in almost disappointment and defeat, as if he was hoping I wouldn't say anything.
"Let me guess...you met him back in the United States correct?" He says walk back over to Mason. Mason shakes his head very slowly so Alejandro wouldn't notice not wanting me to say more.
"I-I"
"I'll take that as a yes. You have always...what do the Americans say? Oh yes. Show yourself like an open book." He smirks devilishly at me.
I form my lips in a tight line.
"Now to get to the real question." He then walks over to Mason and places the knife on his neck. "Who are you here with?" He asks dangerously as his voice goes down an octave.
Mason doesn't say a word as he sends a devilish smirk. Suddenly, Alejandro takes the knife and plunges it into arm.
Mason let's out a loud groan in pain as I place my hands over my mouth to prevent myself from screaming.
"Who are you here with? I do not like to repeat myself," Alejandro growls as he takes the knife out and I watched as blood dripped out of his arm.
Mason then spits in his face. "I ain't telling you shit." He groans venomously.
Alejandro slowly takes out a handkerchief from his pocket and wipes his face. I could see the steam leaving his face giving the signal that he was about to explode even though he was smiling. I knew better.
"Now Mason, why did you have to go an do a thing like that? Disrespecting me..." he says the last two words demonically.
My heart was pounding in my chest as I predicted what was about to happen. Alejandro was about to swing his fist when I intervened.
"Stop! No more!" I yell out as I use my body as a shield for Mason.
"Move Calina," he says firmly.
"No, I'm begging you. Please don't hurt him anymore," I pleaded as tears filled my eyes.
He does nothing but stares at me. The look he was giving me sent cold chills down my spine and I didn't like it. He then instantly threw a smile on his face like he got something he wanted.
"Okay, Mi amor. You win." He then held out his hand for me to take. I slowly lifted my hand toward his. As he took it his face instantly turned from calm to furious as he yanked me away from Mason and tossed me across the room.
I let out a shriek as my body hit the hard pavement. Pain was shooting out from my hip and elbows as I hissed in agony.
I swiveled my head around as I saw Alejandro grunting with each punch he threw at Mason's face which was now covered in blood. I watched in horror as he kept throwing punch after punch at him.
"Stop!" I screamed at Alejandro as I tried to pull him away from him. He shoved me off of him and I yelped as I fell to the ground.
Alejandro turned his attention towards me instead. He lowered himself to my level and grabbed a full head of my hair as I hissed in pain from the pressure on my scalp.
"That was the second time you got in my way. Do you want me to punish you my love?" He asks sweetly but I could feel the sinister tone peaking beneath the surface.
I took too long to answer which gave him another reason to tug on my head sending another shockwave to my scalp. "Well, do you?!"
"No.." I say just above a whisper as my bottom lip trembles in trepidation.
"Then, stay out of my way." He growls before finally letting me go.
I slump back down in defeat as my whole body shook from fear while I look toward Mason who had just spit blood out of his mouth. He sends me a knowing look toward my way saying that 'everything would be okay', but he and I both knew deep down that was not true.
"Now. Where were we?" Alejandro says as he starts to roll up his sleeves. As he was about to start throwing punches again the door burst open from behind me. And I thanked god for the interruption because I didn't know how much longer he would last with the condition he was in.
"Don...Alejandro," A man said with a breathy voice. It seemed he was in a hurry to get down here so he was out of breath.
"Go away. Can't you see I'm busy?" Alejandro responds back in Spanish not wanting to bother with his presence.
"But sir, something has happened upstairs and we need to get you out," the man says in a worried tone. His tone of voice was now peaking my interest and now I was even wanting to know what's going on.
Alejandro let out a huge sigh and turned his attention toward the man who had interrupted his torture. "What is it? Spit it out," he barks at him.
" I'm sorry sir, I can't believe I am saying this but...the mansion is on fire and we need to evacuate."
