a single button was pressed, and the camera shutter stopped. shaking, and dropping the camera on the side, the blonde cried.

kenzie, john and lauren were the only ones left in the escape room, and truth be told, all three of them were terrified. even throughout everything that had happened, lauren was holding up pretty well, until they lost jaeden.

kenzie was, well, quite traumatized, but she kept it in. she and john kept it in for lauren's sake. not that she needed to be babied, but they both thought of her as their younger sister, and they knew how hard it was for her. rushing over to jaeden, lauren held his hand lightly for a few moments.

throwing off the white jackets, masks, scrub caps and gloves with tense, jerky little movements, the three remaining teens just stared at each other.

tears blurring her vision, and hands shaking, she fumbled around a little, before slipping one limp arm through his sweater gently, then his other, and finally getting his sweater off completely, she laid it on his lower torso. leaning down and pressing her lips first on his forehead, nose, and finally his lips, in a ghostly, tear-stained salty kiss, she picked up his sweater, slipped the white cloth over his still body, and trembling, turned around.

she stood there, motionless for a minute or so, desperately trying to satient her urge to turn around again, and rush to his side and yell at him to wake up, before opening the door to the next room. mackenzie had uploaded the footage onto the computer that was next to the door, and it unlocked.

trying to keep herself composed, she wiped the salty stains from her raspberry tinted cheeks with jaeden's maroon red sweater, but the tears weren't ending. looking around, she saw blurry pictures of their friend group on the big screen in the middle of what looked like a make-believe-stage, filled with pictures of shawn mendes on the wall.

"no, i can't do this anymore," tears brimming, and spilling out, slowly streaming down her cheeks as she sunk deeper into john's arms, and broke down uncontrollably. "i really can't john, i can't keep it in anymore."

"shhh, you'll be okay. we'll be okay. we just have to get out of here alive, alright?"

"you've arrived at shawn mendes, illuminate tour. please keep in your lines and wait for your turn. thank you."

"DAMMIT! why can't they just shut the hell up, we've already lost so many people who cares about shawn mendes!" yelling in frustration after hearing the voice come over the sound system in the room again, lauren cried out, flailing her arms out before drawing them around the sweater tightly again, still sobbing in john's arms.

kenzie cleared her throat weakly, as she rubbed lauren's back gently, whispering.

"we still have a fighting chance guys. the man said there were only eight rooms. we're in the last room. we still have a chance to get out, and go home."

suddenly, they heard a thud coming from somewhere on top, before the ceiling above them collapsed on them, and three bodies fell on them. screaming, and scrambling away from the debris and other things that had fell from the ceiling, kenzie stood up, eyes wide. she recognised the bodies.

it took a moment for john, mackenzie and lauren to figure out what was happening, but regaining their senses, they jumped up, and stepping back from the pile of broken ceiling material and bodies rapidly, shock written on their faces, they looked at each other, not knowing what to do at all.
