𝙄𝙏'𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝙀𝙉 𝘼 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙋𝙇𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝘿𝘼𝙔𝙎 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙃𝙀𝙉𝙍𝙔 was traveling with Charles, Anthony, William and a few others including Armstrong and Buckingham as they suddenly stopped riding their horses when the valley of gold came to view.
"There it is" Henry exclaimed with a beaming smile on his face pointing his finger at the palace, " Val D'Or... The Valley of Gold" he chuckled softly sharing a smile with Charles as Anthony spoke up and asked, " what if the french don't show?"
Charles rolled his eyes at his friend before replying, " Oh, they'll show. They'll just be fashionably late" causing Henry, William and Anthony to chuckle in amusement before William spotted a group of men on horses in the distance as he pointed towards them and said, "Your Majesty, look. There they are"
"What's the plan?" Charles curiously asked glancing towards Henry with his eyebrows furrowed making a smile appear on the King's face as he Informed him, " I was to ride down alone and meet the King"
Anthony shook his head in disagreement before saying, " it's a trap. What if they mean to lure you down to kill you?" He asked as Henry rode forward and turned around to face his men and demanded, " All of you! On pain of death! Stay!" Before turning back around and riding away from his men and towards King Francis who was making his way towards Henry with his men slightly behind him.
The two Kings finally came to a stop as Henry stared at him closely as he narrowed his eyes at him before greeting him, " cousin" Francis was silent for a moment before replying back, "Cousin. Bienvenue en France"
"After you" Henry encouraged gesturing towards the entrance with his hand making Francis shake his head and said, " Mais non. After you" the two men stared at one another intensely before Henry started to chuckle with Francis as they both rode towards the entrance together.
"How do you like my beard?" Henry asked making Francis chuckle in amusement and told his cousin, " you almost look, French, you know?" The two continued to make small talk as they rode through the entrance of The Valley of Gold.
It didn't take long until the celebration started as Henry was sat next to Francis as Catherine was sat next to the Queen of France. Emily and Sophie was standing next to Charles, Anthony and William along with other lords that joined Henry in going to the summit.
"Hear ye! Hear ye!" One of the men announced loudly, " I, Henry, by the grace of God King of England, Ireland and France, Do Hereby...." the man was cut off as Henry called out, " Stop" turning to look at his cousin with a small smile on his face, " I cannot be that while you are here, for I would be a liar. During this summit, I am simply Henry, King of England"
The crowd began to applaud Henry as Francis glanced at him with a smile on his face and replied, " J'apprecie enormement. And I am just Francois. King of France and Burgundy" the crowd began to applaud again apart from Emily, Sophie and Charles.
