Chapter 3: Saying goodbye

3rd person POV

In front of her was a monster gobbling everything in sight. She froze at the scene staring at the monster in disbelief. She was frozen in fear.

The sentimonster kept eating everything and everyone. It stared at her and started to make it's way to her sensing the miraculous power from her.

"Miraculous" it screamed heading towards her.

"Marinette" somebody screamed. She felt herself being carried. The person carrying her was flying, very fast.

"I have to save them" she says tears starting to stream from her eyes. "I have to save my people mom"

"They's nothing we can do Mari" the now in human form goddess says "you are their future leader and a daughter to me it's important that you are kept safe"

Marinette begins to sob. Seeing everything she's ever known being destroyed. Her future kingdom, her home. Where she grew up. She saw the people who took her in being eaten alive. The place was now on fire.

Right now they were sitting outside staring at the burning building. Master Fu had made it out as well. Thought all of this was the old men's fault. (A/N yes I changed the story).

Noroo and dussu were missing. Marinette glared at the old man upon hearing the news. They had just escaped the monster and they was no way of heading back. She took a deep breath trying to calm herself down.

"Mari you have to hide with humans they is no where else to go" Tikki says.

"Do I have to say goodbye" she asks staring up at the goddess.

"It won't be for long kitten" Plagg says.

"Can I go say goodbye to him. He was my best friend and I really don't want to let him go. Plus I know for a fact his mother has beaten him up"

"Who is this him" master Fu asks narrowing his eyes at the 9 year old.

"Master Fu please refrain from asking personal questions especially after what you have done" Marinette says coldly. "*Sigh* look I don't blame you for what happened but the wound is still fresh"

"I understand" the old guardian says staring at his feet.

"I'll be back in 10 minutes" she says opening a portal and stepping through it.

With Damian

Damian had a still face on. No pain nothing. He was just laying near the bed listening to the sounds outside. A blue portal opened in his room making him smile.

"*Gasp* Dami" the petite girl says walking towards the injured boy and healing him. "Your mother" she asks.

"Yes" he says sighing.

"Don't worry Dami everything will be okay"

Both stay silent for a while listening to the fight happening outside. Both sigh shaking their heads.

"I-" both say at the same time.

"Sorry you go first" they say once again at the same time.

"Ladies first" he says smiling at the petite 9 year old.

"Damian the order of the guardians has been attacked and I'm one of the only two guardians left and I have to move for my safety"

"I think this fight will have an impact on us too, I feel I have to leave as well"  Damian says sighing.

Marinette feels someone heading towards the room and blends in the environment just in time. As the door was slammed open the very second.

"Get yourself ready were leaving in a few minutes, the demon head has fallen" his mother says before leaving.

"Do you know where you going" Marinette asks.

"No do you" he asks.

"No"

"So this is goodbye" Damian says sighing.

"No it's see you soon" the bluenette says "promise you'll wait for me"

"Now and forever"

"I think I'm in love with you Dami"

"I think I'm crazy in love with you too" Damian says "thou I don't know what love is"

"I'll teach you" the bluenette says.

"When we see each other again" Damian asks staring into his eyes.

"When we see each other again" she repeats.

"Damian" his mother shouts.

"Sorry about your grandfather"

"It's okay I guess" he replies. "Sorry but I have to go"

"By Dami" she says kissing his cheek. She opens the portal. "Till we meet again"

"Till we meet again" he repeats as the portal closes leaving the blushing boy behind. He sighs heading out the door. Not before grabbing grabbing his favourite katana.

With Marinette

Marinette walks out of the portal and immediately hugs Tikki seeking comfort.

"Everything will be alright bug" Tikki says hugging back.

"Okay now for some ground rules" wayzz says as Tikki and Marinette separate. "The order has fallen making us venerable, so we all need to refrain from using magic especially Marinette. The kwamis are to go back to the miraculous box and only come out when needed. The monster is after us and we have to separate from Mari so she is less likely to get eaten"

They all nod in understanding. All ignoring the sadness they were feeling because this was for the best.

"Kitten we will have to drop you off at an orphanage where you will pretend to not remember anything about the last few years of your life"

"You have to pretend to be sweet and clumsy" Tikki added.

"The sweet part won't be that far off" pollen says smiling.

"You will continue your training once you've been adopted" Plagg says.

"How are you so sure I'll be adopted" she asks.

"You have the goddess of luck by your side" mullo says.

"Yeah and God bad luck" Marinette says making the kwamis snicker.

"Be positive bug" Tikki says.

"Fine" she replies.

"You'll keep the name Marinette but have to put a lot of work into it" fluff says opening the portal. "Step through it Marinette it would lead you to a french orphanage in Paris. You'll be more likely to get adopted there and remember the only language you know if french"

"Ok by guys" she says stepping through the portal letting it disappear behind her. The moment the portal disappears Tikki and Plagg break down.

The rest are hurt broken seeing their sunshine disappears. Master Fu shake's his head. Wondering how these God's God's were going to survive when she dies.

If only he knew that they wondered the same thing and were working on a way to keep her with them forever.
