A story with the Dhoombros ( ON HOLD)

Highway

I came downstairs and sat on my chair. I wasn't surprised when i saw the dinning table filled with several of my favorite dishes pasta, spaghetti and soooo much more it was my last day with the family and Zaira's too. I felt like crying my eyes out but i held them in because i didn't want to leave Mum and Dad with tears in their eyes. I picked up my plate and ate small portions of each of the dishes which eventually ended up filling my plate. The food looked so colourful all together it was like a rainbow on my plate. I finished dinner and headed to my room to see if i needed anything else to take with me, but Mum did a great job with the packing that i didn't need to take anything else it was all there for me. I looked down at my phone it was 10pm so soon but i wanted to spend time with Mum and Dad. I went into their room but they were asleep. I was quite upset of the fact that they had gone to sleep because i wanted to spend time with them and then for two months no face to face talk. I was feeling down and went to bed as well as i had nothing much to do when awake.

Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm goes off  i look at the time its only 6am let me sleep for a few more minutes. I doze off and some time later Zaira shouts my name Zara! Zara! Are you ready yet we need to leave soon. I look at the clock hanging on my wall. Oh no! Its 7am we are meant to leave at 7:30am. I quickly leap out of bed and get ready. I rush downstairs and quickly grab some fruits and bars and stuff them in my bag. Looking at my watch 7:25am we might just get out of the house in time lets go Zaira. I turned and look at Zaira shes sat down on the sofa doing her makeup for the third time. Am i looking beautiful Zara? Yes your looking amazing. Can we go now? Wait i don't think my lipstick is dark enough and i forgot to put mascara on. Can you do this in the car and can we go now? She looks at me with this angry face as if I'm jealous of her. Shes walks quickly to the car. Dad helps me put the suits cases in the boot. Me and Zaira say hug Mum and Dad and leave i look in the side mirror towards them. How i miss them already as we turn the corner they disappear. Tears slowly trickle down my cheeks. Zaira hands me a tissue and i try to get a hold of myself. Now we had to go and get Madison and Nile. Their house were a few minutes away from our house. We drive on and soon reach Madison's house she hops onto the back seat and we drive on a few roads ahead we pick up Nile. Now time to hit the highway. I look at the time from the car its 7:45am we're on track.

~ A few hours later on the highway~

Are you guys hungry? Its been ages since we ate. I look at the time it's 1pm. My stomach is rumbling. Zaira was munching on a granola bar for the time. I look in the rear mirror and see that Madison and Nile look starving as well. So we decide to stop at the next services and eat some KFC. I was exhausted driving for ages. After sometime we stopped and ate KFC. It was so good. After we were filled we went back to the car and i asked Zaira to drive for a few hours but she would'nt agree i managed to tempt her by getting her a bucket full of KFC hot wings and she could'nt say no.

~ A few more hours later~

I'm tired Zara and its dark now can we stop and continue tomorrow? OK Zaira i tell her to stop at the next junction. We're going to spend the night in a hotel in Oklahoma City. We arrive at a hotel and book three rooms. One for me and Zaira, one for Madison and the last one for Nile. When everyone gets into their rooms me and Zaira go to bed straight away cause we're exhausted from the journey and the hours of stressful driving. #_#
