Stigma: Broken Keep

Chapter 9: Distance,

Spear POV:

As we go our separate ways to gesr up, we agreed to meet up with some of the guards, i grab my axe and some good, protective armour, i hesitate before grabing my necklace and crossbow, i sigh and end up doing so, i have mu necklace protected, and my crossbow reinforced,
"Hey about time you got here!" Eramis says with a smile on her face,
"Well, better late then ever, am i right lads?" I say with a chuckle, making everyone else laugh a little in the process,
We open the door and as we do, a heavy storm starts lightning and thunder, we can hardly see one foot ahead, and using scent wont work,
"So, who wants to go first?" An eyes ask outloud,
"No ones gonna go out there alone, no way in hell, too risky, we gotta stay in a group," i tell everyone in this group,
"I'll a rope," one the of guards says as he walks off,
"Okay while he does that, lets plan this out, we're gonna be in one group, and well the rope is gonna be held here with two people standing guard, of it, two tugs mean return, multiple is not a good sign got it?" I tell everyone as the rope guard arives
Everyone nods and we tie the rope around our hips, me and eramis are gonna be near eachother constantly because we tied our ropes toghter first, then everyone elses, we get ready to make our way out side, we make it out of sight of the guard's and we walk for what feels like miles but dew to the Strong winds i cant tell, im getting all kinds of scent, but one sticks out to me, i cant reconise it so i put it behind me, we reach the end of the rope as we feel two or more tugs,
"Spear we gotta head back, the gyards might be having issues!" Eramis screamed over the wind,
"AGREED!!" I hollor back,
As we make our way back faster, i feel stugs, and snaps and before i know it me and eramis are the only ones together,
"ERAMIS! WHERE ARE THE OTHERS?" I scream to her,
"I DONT KNOW BUT WERE NOT ALONE AND NOT ATTACHED I THINK WE GOT SHUT OUT!" she hollard back,
"STAY CLOSE THE ONLY HOPE WE HAVE LEFT NOW IS FINDING COVER!" We start to walk in a direction, I feel something big bump into me, leaving a cut in my thigh,
I grunt but we keep moving,
"SPEAR!!!" i hear eramis say as i feel her rope get tugged at, i pull out my axe and swinged hard into somethings back, I hear it scream and run off, i pick up eramis who is hurt
"Are you okay?" I ask her because the wind died down a little but the storm is still active,
"Yeah.. Im fine, just a little wounded," she responded,
I see make out the shape of what looks like a giant bear making its way torwards eramis, I move her out the way and get a clawed in the back, I grunt in pain, and Slice at its head, missing, i hit the ground but i cant get my axe out so i just put eramis over my shoulder and run the other way,
She yelped in suprise at that but what ever,
I can some what see a stone wall ahead so i go right of it and i see a gate,
I think it's pridefoul, so i put eramis on her feet and i bang on the door, but before i know it i get tackled into the woods i hear eramis, Scream somethin but i gotta focus on the thing ontop of me, I try to pull out my knife but i lost my grip on it, but it outs me into a chock hold with hits hands I use my claws to stab it in the side, it grunts in pain, so i dig deeper, i feel it let go, so i kick it off of me and get to my feet, i turn around to see it rush torwards eramis i think, so i launch my self onto hit, and i clamp my jaws down onto the back of its neck, i can tell its struggling to get me off, it bumps me into some trees, before i through my body, one way, and tearing out the spinal cord connecting its head to its body out of its neck, letting drop to the ground dead, i spit out the spinal cord as i make my way to eramis again i make out the shapes her struggling with what looks like what was trying to kill me, so i tackle it into the ground, I grab the nearist thing to me, a stick, and i stab it in its eye, blinding it, it kicks me off sending far, but im pretty sure it ran, of i feel eramis pick me up,
"Spear are you fine?" She asked worryingly,
"Yeah im good, you good?," i ask her,
"Yeah" she responded,
"HEY YOU TWO, GET IN HERE QUICK!!" we hear a voice say, so we make our way in, and make our way into one of the houses, and spend the night there,
