Chapter 1 - Marrige Law

3rd person's perspective -

     "Madeline!" King Donovan yelled, "I'm coming" Princess Madeline said. She took of her night gown off and rubbed her tail. Last night she was so tired that she slept in the oddest of positions and ended up making her tail sore. She dressed in a beautiful satin top that was covered in gold and black, her two favourite colours. She brushed her long brown hair quickly and tied it in a sleek above head braided pony tail. Then she leaped to her tail and swam down the twisted stairs in a hurry, her hair gracefully flowing as it trailed behind her. She made her way into the throne room just in time were the king awaited her presence. "I'm so sorry I'm late but you see-" "I don't want to hear your tiring excuses" the king said in a angry and annoyed tone whilst cutting her off. "As you know today is the day of the summer solstice, and every 2,000 years there must be an engagement on the summer solstice and a marriage on the winter solstice between the mermaid kingdom and the siren kingdom to keep the peace"
"Yes, but what has that to do with me" Madeline said in a tired voice, she had just woken up at the crack of dawn and she was exhausted from the day before. "We'll the time has come, it has been 2,000 years, So I propose a deal" King Donovan said with a smirk, "You shall marry my eldest son to secure the law, and as attribute to me for taking you under my wing so many years ago after your parents where killed." And like it was scripted his eldest, prince Edmonton walked in. "WHAT!?" Madeline said in horror, and with that Madeline dropped to the floor, she had passed out.
