will come back

he is going to come back
someday you will wake up
and see that little light
flashing on your phone

and you will check the notification
and then you will smile
your heart will miss a beat
and you will smile even more

this day will come soon i promise
the lovely foolish notification
will become an habit again
just like your hapiness

and his voice will call your name
and your words will create smiles
his wonderful smile, will
appear while reading your texts

i know your heart hurts
i know you're losing faith
little by little, the hope you carried
is fading away

and i do know that
some nights, actually,
almost every one of them
you're crying silently

but there are ups and downs
they come and go,
you can't escape them
even if you try

and i know you did
you did all you were capable of
but it couldn't change anything
some things just can't be changed

you braved the down
you went through that pain
now you deserve hapiness
so catch it, go, now

he will not come back
we both knew it, right?
but it's not an excuse
you will be okay

you will show him
how much you have grown
how well you play music
how shiny your smile is

and you will be happy
and he will be proud of you
and you will be able to
follow your own way

with those stars everyone missed
in your beautiful eyes

the sun will shine,
the revolution will go,
the love and rage will blow,
and we will never stop to fight
for equality and freedom
