"......Kakashi?"

His eyes widened at the sight before him. With only the moonlight from the window, there, in the center of the room, he saw his student, in a puddle of blood, knelt down next to his fathers body. Blood on his hands and legs just sitting there. A flood of panic ran through his veins at the sight and with it came....

....grief.

Minato didn't know the man all that well but Sakumo was Jiraiya sensei's friend. Heremembered when there was a time, when he was younger, when Sakumo used to smile at him and laugh with him when he invited Jiraiya and him to stay over for dinner with Sakumo and his wife.

And all he could think was how- how could he let this happen-

However, the shock only lasted for a brief moment as he shook his head, as if he could physically shake himself out of it. He would grieve later, he determined. As of right now, his first priority is his student. First and foremost. He bit his thumb, drawing blood and slamming his palm to the floor.

"Summoning Jutsu!"

In a cloud of smoke two small toads appeared in front of him. In a quiet, hurried voice he whispered, "One of you go and get Kushina and the other go inform the Hokage that-"

He paused, taking another glance at the body of the White Fang, cold and unmoving with his hands gripping a tanto which was plunged into his stomach.

He inhales, "that Sakumo Hatake has committed seppuku."

With his orders given, the two toads disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Turning back to the scene, he began to slowly step closer, intentionally making his footsteps loud to make his presence known, as to not startle the child.

"Kakashi!"

He kneeled down beside him, carful not to touch the blood on the floor. Placing a firm hand on his shoulder, he called him again, "Kakashi!"

No response.

"Listen to me! Can you hear me!?"

Minato tried called his name again but to no avail. It only made him all the more concerned. Kakashi was in shock. This, he knew well. Not just from experiencing it (though the memories of those times are quite blurry) but from the time he spent on the battlefield, the way others just seem to completely shut down—

And that was what frightened him the most.

The boy didn't seem to hear nor notice him. His eyes were hazy and unfocused, staring at the body before him but not truly seeing. He had never seen this side of his student before. Kakashi was always focus and diligent, alert and cautious. But now, he just looked so....

....empty.

Not sad, angry, or hysterical. There was just a silent apathy that left him an empty shell of himself.

And that scared him.

And no—

He wasn't scared for himself. No. Minato was scared for Kakashi.

Suddenly, many footsteps were heard coming towards the room they were in. However, Minato was not wary as he knew who it was, could feel the familiar chakra signature of one man who stood within the group heading towards them.

He allowed a small bit of relief to enter his body

Their finally here.

The door was forcefully pushed open and in came the Hokage. Behind him were the Anbu, with their black uniforms and white masks and behind them the Uchiha Police.
