Some actions performed in this chapter might make you feel uncomfortable, and that's okay. That's a perfectly reasonable reaction. It's scary, and is a very terrible thing that happens sometimes. If you really want to, you can skim past that section of the chapter. It won't be too detailed, but it might still be too much for some viewers. Again, it is perfectly fine by me if you don't want to read it.

You may proceed.

A week had gone by, and in another, Y/N planned to return to work. She felt that the time she had set was enough, yet at the same time, she wished she would never have to go back to that damn bar. She didn't want to look at, let alone be around any of the other employees, knowing they'd be out for blood the moment Loui's back is turned. It's scary. The most she thought she'd ever have to deal with in that place was maybe a few drunk passes from customers, not a hunt to the death from a bunch of demons.

Her fear could hardly be masqueraded when confronted by her friends, especially Sam, but she kept her mouth shut, regardless of their deeply worried questions. Eventually, they decided not to push, much to her relief, but it still upset her that she could not share with them the information that she learned. All she knew was that, from now on, she wants to steer them as far away from that dreadful bar to prevent them from ever being targeted by one of the other employees. She didn't know what she would do if any of them got caught up in this mess. Though her friends no longer asked about the details of her going on break from both her relationship and job, that did not mean they didn't wish to comfort her; in fact, Y/N is heading to Sam's apartment as we speak to hopefully get her back to her old self, unaware of the black crow following her car from the sky.

The animal observed with its unusually red optics closely as they traveled, allowing Loui to see exactly what was going on. He was glad to find that everything is normal. Y/N seemed to be feeling a lot better after their talk, but she was clearly still mulling things over. He would wait, even if every moment was painful. Once parked, the woman enters the building and takes the elevator up to Samantha's floor. At the door, she knocked, and it opened up seconds later for her to be jumped on by the excited blonde.

"There you are! Took you long enough. Thought I was going to have to rip you out of the apartment myself," she jokes, leading Y/N to crack a smile.
