A Little Bit Closer

Chapter 5

You and Noah arrive back at his house and busy through the door. "Oh hi guys! You're back!" she says in her usual cheerful tone. Noah looks at you with a puzzled look on his face and you return the same look. "What's the problem, mom?" Noah asks. His mom laughs and says, "Oh there's no problem." Both of you follow her into the kitchen and see a small dog in the middle of the floor. You naturally say "awwww" and Noah does too. "Early gift!!" his mom says. You smile and Noah goes to pick the tiny creature. After he's named her, you guys take her on a walk around the block. You talk about your dreams and wishes for the future and realize that Noah is constantly blushing after almost every single one of your sentences. "What??" you ask him in a confused voice. "Oh nothing.." he replies, "it's just that.. I have some of the same dreams as you." You smile at this, finding it very cute and romantic. The road gets more busy, and Noah pulls you behind a nearby tree. You continue talking about the future and Noah puts his cold hand on your waist. You step in as he's pulling you closer to his body. You gently place your arms around his neck and he turns you around so your back is against the tree. He moves a bit closer to you and stares into your eyes. You stare back. He leans in and softly kisses you. -his lips against yours- After a long, sweet kiss he takes a step back and then goes back in for another. You blush as his warm lips touch yours again. He takes another step away and removes his hands from your body. "oh.. sorry y/n" he says, clearly blushing. "I'll let it slide" you reply with a huge smile in your face. You guys start heading back to the house and sit down on the couch as soon as you walk through the door.
