After we finished dinner, I walked back to my cabin. I changed into my nightgown and looked out of the window. The beautiful ocean reflected some of the moonlight in a mesmerizing way, and I closely watched the water. A hammock hung on one of the walls, and the light blue contrasted the wooden ship.

I plopped down on the hammock and my thoughts went all over the place.

I briefly wondered about some of the rumors surrounding this ship, but I silently dismissed the thoughts. Bellamy told me herself that they're pirates, but that doesn't explain the lengths they're willing to go to. Still, I tried to forget about the things that had been said of brutal murders and secrets.

I hoped I could get enough money to start a business.

Bellamy was very pretty, there was no doubt about it, but her mood shifted frequently and our personalities clashed quite a lot.

Regardless, I still look forward to the adventures that will surely come in the future. I hope I can adjust to this new life. Some things arent quite adding up though, which is odd. The amount of trees, living and nonliving, must add up to a lot of weight. And yet Tom warned me of a weight limit. Perhaps he just wished I wouldn't bring my thicker layered petticoats, and I do believe they would be cumbersome on a ship.

The weight limit isn't the only thing that's not quite right. Something seems off about everything and everyone. Even though they've all been nothing but exceptionally kind, I can't help my suspicious nature.

With tons of questions floating around in my head, I thought of the beautiful fabric trees and quietly fell into a deep sleep.

*a/n I know this is ridiculously short, but I'm still trying to get used to writing daily again. I just wanted to write SOMETHING even though it's barely over 300 words. I'm hoping to update at least two more times this month. (Also, I remembered where the book was heading so that's rlly good.) Thank you for reading :))*
