it wasduring a hot summer day a year ago when you first received it.
you had slammed open your batted metal locker, laying your eyes on the usual bundle of textbooks cramped up together on the shelf, an old grey hoodie and packets of junk food placed on top of each other. scoffing at how messy your locker was, you rolled your eyes at the thought of having to spend half an hour after school cleaning this compact,metal box stuck to the wall. just as you were about to switch out the books from your bag, something glittery caught your eye.
laying on top of your hoodie was a small letter.
in a blink of an eye, the thin envelope was in your hands. your fingers slowly brushed over the rough surface of the envelope sprinkled with shimmery glitter of red and pink in a somehow messy way like the person had smudged it all in a rush. the envelope was a sweet shade of pastel pink and a small cherry red heart sticker was used to seal the pieces of paper together. there was even an adorably small red ribbon tied to one of the corners.
you chuckled at how both sides of the bow weren't even the same length, guess this person doesn't know how to properly sprinkle glitter or tie a ribbon. nevertheless, it was a love letter and you were absolutely smitten.
