I awoke to big fluffy snowflakes falling outside my window. They sparkled as they fell lazily from the sky. I smiled at the thought of having a perfect white christmas. I glanced around my room stopping at the beautiful white dress, and just like that my mood dropped. My hands shook the dance was less than a week away.
I flopped my pillow over my head. If my father walked in right now it would surely look like I was attempting to suffocate myself. Truthfully I was contemplating it.
** several hours later**
I sat at the kitchen table working on my history project that was due before winter holidays. I chewed on the end of my pen lost deep in concentration. I hated big projects they always took me forever mostly because I was forever second guessing myself. Not to mention lately my mind seemed to wander off in lovey dovey, mushy, gooey, gag me land.
"Hey hun what are you doing?" My father asked as he walked into the room.
"Contemplating whether or not history in fact really does repeat itself, and if so what will it repeat next?" I smiled up at him.
"I think that may be a little too much for a highschool paper kiddo," he smiled at me warmly.
