Tranquility

Navigating through tempestuous waves,
with only a humble fragile sail.
Trudging the sea none braves,
Thus, the sailor begins her tale.

In a sea that brewed uproar after downpour,
the sailor remained still, not even fazed.
thought it was a sea, one can simply bore;
yet no one escapes without any graze.

Heavens enraged, tides turned red,
crackling thunder struck down the mast.
She placed her faith above things ahead,
the waves engulfed the pieces that last.

Now drowning in the sea of words,
yearning for a single bit of breath.
Pondering the best of both worlds,
and her journey’s regret.

Before sinking into the depths,
surface light flickered and shone.
The sailor now has no regrets,
the sea she ceases to condone.

Hanging onto the only hope,
like a raft remaining afloat.
in the sea no one dares to scope,
her journey now she has hope.
