Au: coffee shop

Keith's POV

I walked into rose cafe, my favourite cafe to go to because of one employee Lance. 

Lance always call's me mullet head, I tell him to stop but after a while I started to find it endearing. I looked around for him and spotted him serving some customers, he notices me and smiles giving me a small wave.

"I'll be with you in a minute!" he said to me as I approached the register. Lance finished serving people and walked around behind the register "How may I help you mullet head?" He asked happily, I looked at the menu stalling for time. 

"Can I get a..... Mocha, Chocolate muffin, a grilled cheese, and chips" Lance chuckled "woah That's more then yesterday's, make's me think you like to see me face" Lance said smugly

I wanting to extend this interaction replied with "Maybe I do maybe I don't" It's been a year since I started coming here everyday.

"well aren't we confident today?" Lance smiled "cash or card?" 

I was lost in thought "hm? Oh- uh...caaaash?" I checked my wallet damn it all I had was a 5, Lance rested his elbows on the bench leaning his head on them "you a little short lovely?"

That annoyed me "No I'm not!" I said defensively Lance just chuckled "whatever you say, so will that be cash or card?"

 I felt embarrassed that I couldn't pay for all that, and I was holding up the line. "I- take the grilled cheese, chips, and muffin off" I feel kind of ashamed that I couldn't pay for what I asked for.

Lance looked down at me, "I'll pay darling" he winked, I shook my head "I can't let you do that" Lance smirked "I'm do for my lunch break anyway" I shook my head again "no it's ok" Lance leant over and put a finger over my mouth.

"I'll go get that" Lance turned around to get the food. 

~ten minutes later~ 

Lance came up to me and smiled. "heres your food" He held out a coffee and paper bag to me, I took them "I'll pay you back whe-" He kissed my cheek before I could finish, I hid my face behind my hands. "You can repay me by going out with me now"

I nodded my head and with that We walked out together, That was the start of our relationship.
