SILVER DEMON

Chapter One

Dong Il looked into the profile of each agent on his desk again. Each of the agent chosen were all the best in their perspective field. While he was staring at the profiles on his desk, there's a knock on his door.

"Come in."

Dong Il said while he puts back all the profiles into the file.

"You want to see me, Sir?"

Jun Myeon asked as he walks into the Dong Il's room.

"Yes. Please have a sit."

Dong Il gestured to Jun Myeon towards the sofa in the middle of the room.

"You don't have to be so formal with me, I just want to have a chat with you only."

Dong Il said as he watched Jun Myeon taking his sit on the sofa.

"By the way, how's your sister?"

Dong Il said as he walked towards the sofa with the folder in his hand.

"So far she's okay. You know her very well. She will always trying make herself busy, so, right now she's looking into the recent attack towards our headquarters."

"Have you heard any news from her?"

"No, since the attack, I never have a contact with her. Why, uncle? Have you had some news?"

"About that, apparently the attacker only wants the data about our Silver's Base. Only the data and files on Silver's Base and all about Silver Demon were taken. I just met with Director and he want you to take over a new team."

Dong Il said as he hands over the file to Jun Myeon.

"So she's exposed now? This team, is it to ensure the safety of her?"

Jun Myeon asked while looking into the profiles inside the file.

"We talked about this before right? It's just, Director approved the plan earlier than he thought."

"Your new team will be handling cases that come directly from Director. All of the cases, I will brief it to you. I will be bear all the responsibility of your team so you can carry all the cases with your own way. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Sir!"

"By now, all of your team member will be on their way to the base. Now, can you persuade your sister, Agent Silver to accept her new terms?"

Jun Myeon just look at one profile in front of him while sighing.

"What? Why change my partner?"

Ruby looked at Jun Myeon furiously.

Ruby throw the file onto her table while walked towards the refrigerator. She took a water bottle before walked back towards Jun Myeon.

"Director worried about your well-being. He has the qualification to be by your side."

Jun Myeon try to soothed Ruby's anger.

"They always see me as an asset."

Ruby mumble before looked at Jun Myeon.

"Oppa, do you feel the same? Am I just an asset to you?"

Jun Myeon just looked at Ruby hoping that she can see how important she is to him.

"I'm not an asset, I'm just a person."

"Sehun know how I work and understand me at the field. You know people doesn't understand how I work. How can this new person understand me?"

Ruby looked at the file in front of her.

"We handling people's life, oppa or do you think that I crazy too?"

Jun Myeon looked into Ruby's eyes. He knows she was hurt when he said about her problem but he also knows that her health was getting worse.

Every day she only sleep for less than an hour, sometimes she didn't even sleep for few days. Her nightmare was getting worse and not even sleeping pill that she takes help.

"You know my feelings, right? Can you accept it just for me?"

This time, it's Jun Myeon turn to begged Ruby.

"You know the real reason behind all this. You're my only sister and I don't want to lose you."

Jun Myeon wait for Ruby's response and continue when there's none.

"Please, just accept it okay?"

Ruby looked at Jun Myeon then took the file that she throws from the table. Jun Myeon know Ruby will accept the change the moment she took the file.

Jun Myeon walked out from Ruby's room and went straight to his room at the opposite of his sister's.

After Jun Myeon left, Ruby took the liberty to study about her new partner. She searched about her new partner at all platform from where he was born until the present him.

"Kim Nam Joon. Born on 12th September and the only child."

"Father was a police officer died during saving a victim from burning factory. Mother just a normal housewife."

"After his father died, his mother work at the restaurant near their house and raised him up alone."

"Start helping his mother during high school and when straight into police academy after finishing school."

"Wah, he really follows his father foot step. While in academy, he also studies in medical school in neurology and psychology. Is he crazy?"

"No data about his past girlfriends or relationship. Record all clean. Aurora, is this all?"

Ruby look at the avatar at the right of her screen.

"Yes, Agent Silver. That's all of the record. Agent Nam Joon doesn't have any criminal record, nor do he been in relationship. Unless he never put it in his personal media social. That's all I can find."

"He's a genius. Why he wants to follow his father's foot step?"

"Aurora, can you show me the record of his father death? All including the case he was on when he was killed. Put it in my personal file."

"Noted, Agent Silver."
