SILVER DEMON

Chapter Three

Nam Joon lay on the bed and stared blankly at the ceiling. He already finished cleaning and unpacking his things and its only been 45 minutes.

He then remembers that Ruby was in front of her screen when he entered the main room. Nam Joon stand up and walked out from his room.

Ruby still sitting in front of the screen but her face was serious and she also seems to lip-sync with the song playing inside her headphone.

After a while, Ruby start to slide over to the big screen at the other side of the room using her chair, with a big smile on her face. There, Nam Joon can see that Ruby were collecting data from various side and videos.

Nam Joon was amazed on the speed of Ruby analysing all the data from a different videos and document. Ruby also seems to having fun with her work as she was bopping her head and lip-sync together with the song she hearing.

After finished analysing almost five different things, Ruby stop and stretch. Nam Joon who still watching Ruby from outside of his room can see the expression on Ruby's face.

Tiredness.

It makes Nam Joon think about the data he received about the condition of Ruby. Nam Joon walked into his room and take the file about Ruby and analyse it again. There he found one important point that he misses out during his first time reading it.

"She cannot sleep because of her nightmare so she just sleeps average of 30 minutes to 1 hour per day. She just takes few minutes naps between the day but sometimes she cannot sleep for days."

Nam Joon keep reading the files.

"And it all started after the incident where she was abducted during mission and since then she having these problem."

"But during her interview and psychology test after the incident shows nothing that can cause problem. She also doesn't have serious injury. No victims during the incident and no fatality."

Nam Joon reads the file over and over again, but he cannot find any other clue that can help him. Nam Joon then looked over towards Ruby's space, and all he can see is Ruby staring blankly into the screen.

There's nothing on the screen accept just a picture of weird drawing.

"Well at least she's resting. I think better I asked Jun Myeon or Seok Jin hyung about this incident."

Nam Joon walked out from his room with Ruby's file in his hand. He just a few more steps before out from the main room before Ruby's voice stop him from continue his journey.

"Is that my file, erm. ... Dr?"

Nam Joon looked towards Ruby before looked into at the file in his hand.

Ruby still doesn't move from her position and her expression still blank but the title that she called him make him smile.

Nam Joon chuckled before walked towards Ruby. He then stops at the door before he put his weight on one leg and rest his shoulder on the wall.

Then, he crosses his hands and looked at Ruby with a smile before talked to her.

"Dr? Who? Me?"

"Who else in this room?"

Ruby looked at Nam Joon as he sound amused with the title she called him.

"What with the smile on your face?"

Nam Joon chuckled when Ruby asked him with a curious face. He thinks she's look cute with that face.

"No, it just that no one ever called me Dr. Please don't call me that. Just Nam Joon."

"Oh, sorry. So, is that my file Nam Joon?"

"Yes, it is your file. I just on my way to see Jun Myeon and Seok Jin hyung at their room. Ruby, can I call you that?"

"Yup. That's my name."

Nam Joon looked at Ruby as he tried to build up sentences to said to Ruby.

"Ruby, can I ask you few things if you don't mind I'm asking."

Ruby looked at Nam Joon, trying to understand what he really wants.

"We literally just start talking and pronounce ourselves to each other and you want straight away start your counselling session?"

Nam Joon let a small laugh at Ruby's statement towards his favour. Ruby looked at Nam Joon with a weird face as she getting more annoyed at Nam Joon behaviour.

"Again with this laugh. What's wrong with you? Do I look funny to you or what?"

"Sorry, sorry. It just I found that your expression a little bit charming and cute and please, I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable or anything. It just, you. ..."

Nam Joon stop and looked at Ruby. She seems curious yet not offended. She looked like she doesn't really know her own feelings.

"Anyway, sorry again if I make you uncomfortable. For your question before, no it's not counselling session and there will never be. I just want to understand you and be friend with you. That's all."

"Typical answer. So, what's your question?"

"No, please. I'm seriously just want to be your friend. I'm not even a doctor, Ruby. Maybe later I will ask you. When you are ready to be my friend. Not you becoming my patient."

After finished his sentence, Nam Joon wink at Ruby before walked towards the main door and straight went towards Jun Myeon and Seok Jin room.

Ruby was left with question mark and she just watch blankly towards the door before continue watched the screen in front of her.
