Chapter 10.

As soon as winter heard the news her mouth dropped.
"No this cannot be happening." she says to the man on the phone.
"Well thank you sir. When is the funeral?" she asks
"Sunday okay thanks goodbye."
Jenna committed suicide at 9:54 pm. on Wednesday due to depression.
Winter couldn't handle what was going on. Her best friend gone.
"I should've said goodbye"
"it's all my fault" she blame herself
"it's my fault"
She immediately got her phone and called Michael.
Three rings. No answer.
She decided to call Ashton
Two rings. No answer.
She gave up after calling all the boys and decided to take a walk instead.
Winter walked to the park and saw what looked like police around a tree with a hanging body on it.
"no, this can't be jenna" she says in her mind.
Jenna was my best friend since kindergarten. We barely fought. She was the sister I never had. Whenever I was feeling down she was there for me. I just feel like I wasn't there for her.

Mom always said if you ever lose a close friend or family member to remember that one day you'll be with them and that no matter where you are they'll be with you.

she starts running back home and stays in her room for an hour trying to find out why she didn't suspect anything about Jenna and her depression.

Winters POV:

I get startled by someone pounding on the door.
I open the door to reveal Luke, Ashton, Calum, and Michael. Once I let them in they all give me a hug.
"I'm so sorry" Calum says
"Things will get better I promise."
Luke says
Michael looks down to my wrists and says "Stay strong beautiful, no matter what you're going through it will get better" and he hugs me tight
"Winter, I just wanna say that you're a very strong and independent human being and you shouldn't be going through all this pain."
"I called you guys but none of you answered." I say as I wipe a tear.
"We got the news before you did." Calum says.
"Are you guys going to the funeral?"
I ask
"Of course" Luke says
"I just wanna say thank you to all of you guys for taking care of me and actually making me feel happy. If it weren't for you guys I would probably be with Jenna right now in the sky. And I can't thank you enough for it."

"There's no need to thank us Winter it's our pleasure."

"Winter c-can I talk to you in private?" Luke asks

"yea sure." I say "you guys can sit here and play video games or watch tv. help yourself in the kitchen." I tell the boys before Luke and I go outside.

"Yes Luke?"
"Well I've been waiting since the first day I say you and I'm just gunna ask you if you would maybe would like to date me? I mean you don't have to it's your choice but I liked you this whole time and-"

I cut him off by kissing him.

"Yes Luke. I'll be your girlfriend."

he hugs me then we intertwine fingers and head inside.

When we get inside everyone looked shocked.

"Guys I'd like you to meet my girlfriend, Winter." Luke says

"We already know her you idiot" Calum says

"Yay congrats!" Michael hugs me

"I'm happy that you're happy." Ashton says
