Part two to 'night of the prom'!

The next morning, Carrie and Miss Collins woke up to a loud knock at the door. Carrie jumped and squeaked. Miss Collins softly giggled. "Well, good morning to you too Carrie!" She said. Carrie groaned. Miss Collins smiled and kissed Carrie on the forehead. "There's a knock at the door, I'll be right back." she said, climbing out of bed and going downstairs. Carrie looked around, confused, before she remembered what happened the night before, That's right! Miss Collins had taken her in, because of her abusive mother. But when had she told her? Oh. That's right.
The blood.
On the best, actually no, the worst night of her life, Carrie had told miss Collins about her abuse. She could only guess who played that sick prank on her, Chris. Carrie's thoughts were cut off by the sound of talking downstairs. She crawled to the top of the stairs, as she was too weak to walk, and listened. "Hello, Chris...yes, she's here...no, she's not okay, she's very fragile...what?! No!...apologise? Okay, she's upstairs, if you hurt her, I will end you." Was all she could hear. She sat there, trying to process what she had just heard, finally, she did. Chris was coming upstairs. She bolted back into bed, sending herself into a coughing fit. She stopped coughing before there was a soft knock on her door. "C-come In.." Carrie croaked out, Miss Collins came into the room, Chris beside her. Carrie wanted to cry, she wanted to hide under her covers, she wanted Miss Collins to hold her. But she had to face this. "Again, Chris, if you hurt her, you're out." Miss Collins said. Chris only nodded and waited for her to leave. As soon as she left, tears formed in chris' eyes. "Carrie..I-I'm...I'm sorry! I feel so bad! I shouldn't have done it! I shouldn't have hurt you like that! I shouldn't have done anything wrong to you!" She choked out. Carrie hid under her covers, only her eyes were visible. Chris stopped, and took one look at the girl before kneeling down next to her. "Carrie? Do you want miss Collins? Or..your mom? What do you call her?" She asked.
"She said I could call her anything. She said she didn't mind if I called her mom. I want to, but I'm scared." Carrie whispered. Chris nodded. "That must be hard..." She replied. Carrie nodded. Chris gasped when she realised that she was stroking Carrie's hair. Carrie didn't flinch, she almost leaned into the touch. "Carrie?" She said.
Carrie looked at her.
"I'm sorry." She said.
"I don't know what to say. I don't know if I should forgive you or not. Because...because what you did yesterday was a really shitty thing!" The tiny girl replied. Chris gasped. "I know, you don't have to forgive me." She replied. Carrie nodded. What she did next was unbelievable.

She kissed her.

Chris gasped. What did that mean? What did Carrie just do? "Carrie? What...just...what did that mean?" She asked. "I don't know. It just..it just felt right." The smaller girl replied. Chris nodded. "Y'know...it doesn't always have to be like this...it will get better..we just have to make it better." She said. Carrie nodded. They were interrupted by Miss Collins coming into the room. Carrie jumped. "Miss Collins! You scared me!" She yelled. Chris smirked. Miss Collins laughed. Carrie pouted and snuggled up to Chris, who was now holding her. "I thought you said you hated the girls?" She said.
"I don't like the girls. I like Chris." Carrie replied.
Chris blinked back tears of joy, but she still had to excuse herself to cry at the top of the stairs.
I'm so sorry it took so long!! But here's part two!!!!! I hope you enjoyed!
