everyone knows that during the night of the party at mckay's, maddy fornicated with a random 22 year old-man who goes by tyler. tyler is probably one of most trouble making characters on the show. when i say that I mean that i mean that everything tyler has done up to that party has effected his life.
in episode 2 (stuntin' like my daddy), nate snuck into tyler's house and threatened to hurt him if he didn't confess that he raped maddy. maddy also did say she blacked out that in reality she tried to get back at nate for just being a dick to her. as of now tyler is in jail for allegedly choking maddy when it was really nate.
theory:
i bet you all have your own theories on this situation, but here's my own pov. i don't think nate will actually get caught in the way everyone's thinking. but i'm not saying nate won't get caught in blackmailing jules, and assaulting maddy. from my pov i don't know if a couple years in jail, being more hated then ever, or his family being ruined will change how nate and his family are seen.
we all saw in one of the episodes where nate and his family couldn't even get into a restaurant, because they don't want to alienate the other customers and be seen as supporting abuse.
but it's hard to tell what's gonna happen in this situation since if maddy were to say that nate was the one who assaulted her, they'd both end up into trouble since they both lied. is it weird that i think maddy and tyler might do something to nate? tyler ruined his life and i know he wouldn't just move on. this man can't even see in his right eye. i have a feeling tyler will be more shown in season 2. there has to be a way he'd do something to get back at nate. now moving back onto maddy, she does have a way to get nate into a lot of trouble. due to nate, she has been assaulted, lost her confidence, and has completely into another person because of nate. not only can maddy confess about her and nate lying, she has the cd of jules and cal jacobs hooking up. it's more than safe to say maddy has the power to ruin nate's life.
