after finishing breakfast, she gives her godfather, ace and white fang hugs just as she leaves for school in her car a 2020 McLaren Senna GTR that was a birthday present from Bruce also the car has button that has a black canary symbol on it, this button makes the windows including the front window screen go black then a bright line goes over Dinah changing her regular clothes into her Black canary costume and black canary mask while Dinah is driving and puts her regular clothes in a hidden container while the windows stay black so both car and Dinah can't be recognized, she pulls up to the school and parks in the parking lot then she gets out of the car and starts heading up towards the school as she does some of the boy's students including nelson Nash watch with great interest towards the new girl but Dinah ignores them by giving them the cold shoulder and keeps heading straight towards the front desk to ask where her new classroom is. after being directed to it she starts to walk towards it before the boy's students including nelson Nash could come over and try to sweet talk her so they can get to know her, she heads to her new classroom where the teacher is announcing her arrival to the students in the classroom. "Class we have a new student joining us today: please welcome Dinah Lance Queen goddaughter of Bruce Wayne." Dinah enters the classroom all the Boys in the classroom are left speechless while the girls are impressed and a bit jealous but there's one boy that catches Dinah's eye his name is Terry McGinnis.

Terry is in the same state as the other boys in the classroom he is speechless when Dinah entered the classroom then he is elbowed in the stomach by his girlfriend Dana tan for staring at Dinah making him give her look of apology, Dinah is told by the teacher to pick a desk many of the boys hope that she would pick one desks next to them especially Nelson Nash who moves his eyebrows up and down try persuade her to choose the desk next him but she gives him the cold shoulder then she shocks all the boys especially Nelson Nash by sitting down in the desk next to Terry instead of him or any of the other boys. Dinah turns towards Terry and Dana then she gives them a friendly smile to which they both return to her before turning their attention back to the teacher who starts to give the lesson for today until it time for the next class in a different classroom including a different lesson until it was time for lunch, Terry with Dana, their friends max and Chelsea are sitting at their cafeteria table about to eat their lunches when they see Dinah making her towards them so she can eat her lunch with them but just as she was about to join them when Nelson Nash steps in front of her in an attempt to get her sit with him and his friends. "Hello miss queen, I believe you would be more happier sitting with me and my friends to have lunch with instead of this loser who isn't worth your time." Dinah rolls her eyes at Nelson before she giving him her answer to his offer of having lunch with him and his friends. "Thank you for the invitation to eat with you and your friends Mr. Nash but I must decline because I choose my friends for their character and not being bullies. also, I wouldn't sit next to you if you were the last boy on earth." Nelson is shock by Dinah's refusal to eat with him and his friends to how she wouldn't sit next to him if he was last boy on earth before he can say anything to try to change her mind, she pushes past him and heads straight to Terry with Dana, their friends max and Chelsea table then she sits down in the empty chair, Terry with Dana, their friends max and Chelsea are impressed by Dinah's refusal to Nash's invitation and his advances. Dinah starts to introduce herself to them. "Hi I'm Dinah lance Queen." they introduce themselves to her. "Hi Dinah, I'm Terry McGinnis this my girlfriend Dana tan, this Maxine Gibson but you can call her max and this is Chelsea Cunningham. may I ask how did you end up living with Bruce Wayne?" Dana hits Terry's shoulder for asking such a sensitive question but before she scold him Dinah tells her that's it's alright by raising her hand, Dana respects her wishes then Dinah tells them everything about her parents and grandparents murder expect about her grandparents being Black canary and Green Arrow to Bruce Wayne being her godfather and that she has older brother who lives with his godfather Roy harper in star city. Terry feels sorry for Dinah for her parents and grandparents murders to asking such sensitive question but before he could apologize to her Dinah tells him that it's all right and she has gotten over her parents and grandparents deaths to finding a new life with her godfather also she tells them about white fang, all four of them were shocked to hear that she owns a wolfdog but when they heard about white fang's past they become sympathetic for white fang then Dinah tells them how got custody of him especially that commissioner Barbara Gordon is her aunt including her aunt's conditions for keeping white fang and how she managed to tame white fang in the weeks after vertigo's trial but that was a slow process due white fang's fighting days, but she never gave up and tamed white fang to teaching him obedience to not biting anyone who isn't a criminal or stalker which really impressed Terry, Dana, Max and Chelsea. for the rest of lunch and the day Dinah Terry with Dana, max and Chelsea became very good friends once school was over everyone went home including Dinah who drove home to Wayne manor where White fang was waiting for her at the door to the garage when she comes through the door to the garage he starts to jump up on her expressing how happy he was to see her, Dinah starts to pet him then she goes sees her godfather and tells him about her first day of high school to the new friends she's made including Terry McGinnis and how she turned down Nelson Nash all of this makes Bruce happy especially how she turned down Nelson Nash advance's.
