Jake's POV
As I was walking through the halls I heard people talk about the school band competition. I was so stoked about the competition. As I walked in I saw the club greet me. Milly was playing her guitar, Luke was playing the drums, Zander was playing the piano, Hailey was singing and Sean was playing around with the melody and the beats. 'Hey guys' I say walking up to everyone 'Hi Jake!!' Milly shouted.
'You're late!!' Hailey scolded.
'Heh sorry' I say while giggling nervously.
'Today we'll be rehersing the song that we'll be performing so we've got to write the song, is that good with you Jake?' Hailey continued.
'Sounds great!' I respond. We wrote the song.
'wow that's a perfect song!' Hailey says happily.
After rehearsals
I went to go find my friends and I noticed Drew was all alone. I was confused as to why he was alone and where Henry and Liam was. 'Hey Drew are you okay? Where's Henry and Liam?' I asked. He looked up at me and smiled.
'They went on their little date! I'm glad you're finished rehearsals though! You keep leaving me with them! Those love birds keep making me sick!' He complained which had made me laugh. 'Sorry Drew! I promise I'll make more time for you! After the competition I will hang out with you a lot more!' I said smiling back at Drew which saying those words had made his face lit up. 'Yeah I can't wait! I'll be rooting for you Jake! I'll come to the band competition and cheer you on! I just don't like those freaks!' Drew sighed. I'm not sure what his issue with them was. 'Why do you hate them so much? They're pretty nice once you get to know them!' I asked. He looked a little down when I asked but he took a deep breath for some reason. 'It's just that..I'll explain the whole story...So when I was young I loved to sing. My parents didn't support me though and they raised me into believing that it was a waste of time and people at school even said it was a waste of time...I didn't have any real friends at first until I met you and the others. Although Liam and Henry were like a duo and there was me and you the other duo of the group. I was happy and free when it was us four always hanging out' Drew spoke. 'Then ever since you joined the music fr-club you were so distant. You spent so much time with them and it made me feel jealous.. I don't ever wanna lose you Jake! Especially to them!' He continued as I hugged him which caught him by surprise.
'You won't ever lose me Drew not a chance you're my best friend' I said. I don't know why but saying best friend kind of hurt a little for some reason..
'Promise that we'll be best friend's no matter how busy it gets and you'll still hang out with me?'
'I promise'
