"L/n-san, wanna have lunch with us?" a classmate of Y/n's asked. Y/n turns to the girl but politely refused with a smile.

"I have some pieces to finish for the Art Club, sorry."

The classmate simply nodded and went out of the classroom with her friends. Y/n sighed to herself and stood up, ready to head to the art room. She left the classroom with her sketchbook in hand and head over to the art room.

While Y/n head over to her destination, she passed by Kuroo's classroom. He saw her walking by and thought about where she was going. Without thinking too much, he went out of his classroom and followed her from behind.

Y/n walks in the classroom, she placed her sketch book on the table. She got a pencil from one of the shelves in the art room amd sat down, ready to sketch her next piece.

"You're always here, huh?" a voice said from behind her. She turns around to see Kuroo standing by the door with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Why are you here?" Y/n ask, raising a brow.

"Would you believe me if I said, I was walking by?" he exclaimed with a teasing smile. "Did you ate lunch yet?" he ask.

Y/n smiled a little and shook her head to the sides. Kuroo walks over to her and placed a bread on the table. "Eat this," he smirked and pulled a chair over.

"What are you doing?" Y/n ask, looking at him, weirdly.

"Accompanying a damsel in distress."

Y/n rolled her eyes and opened the packet to the bread. "Thanks," she said, raising the bread a little. Kuroo simply nodded with a smile.

"Don't you have friends to eat lunch with? Why are you here?" Kuroo ask, curiously.

The girl finishes the bread she was munching on and replied, "I do, but I also kinda don't."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you really want to know?" Y/n ask, crossing her arms on the table. Kuroo nodded. "I'm scared," she started off, "I'm scared that they won't like me after knowing my personality," she said.

"You and Kenma don't know about this but, when we were in middle school, the girls i was once friends with..." Y/n trailed off. Those incidents made her have trust issues, while it doesn't affect her friendship with Kuroo and Kenma but with other people it does.

"They, um.. they lied to me and pranked me many times and said those were just jokes but it was like I was the only one receiving those jokes of theirs," Y/n exclaimed.

She took a glance at Kuroo to see what his reaction was, he looked kind of angry. "That one time when I broke my leg? They actually pushed me off the stairs," she explained.

"Y/n...," Kuroo quietly said.

"But I'm okay now! I just don't really hang around my classmates, that's all!" Y/n reassures him, with a smile.

Suddenly, Y/n was engulfed with a hug from Kuroo. He patted her back and said, "I know you're okay, you're a strong girl. Kenma and I are here, we won't judge you because of your weird personality that we endured for like a decade," he smiled softly even though he knew she couldn't see it.

"Thank you," Y/n said with a nod.

Kuroo pulled back from the hug and looked at her, "Let's go back to class, the bell's gonna ring," he smiled, standing up, pulling her up with him.

Y/n returned his smile and gather her stuff to head back to class.

"Thanks for keeping me company and being there for me."
