heartbreak girl [enhypen jay]

when you gonna realize

"hey" she ran up to him, "where are you going?"

jay looked surprised at first. "oh, i'm going to practice."

since they were kids, jay already had a passion for dancing. y/n always cheered him on and watched him. she isn't very good as he is, but sometimes she'd dance with him.

"can i tag along?"

you didn't even have to ask, he thought. "yeah"

jay suddenly felt nervous. sure, she had watched him everytime he danced, but she knows what he feels now. he felt a bit shy. despite that, he also wants to do the best to make her interested in his dancing. he also hopes that none of his friends show up because they would surely get her attention.

y/n's ready. today was the day she'd tell him. she had thought about what sunghoon told her and decided that she's going to agree. she wants to be jay's. who cares about what happens in the future?

what's happening in the present is what matters.

jay's been dancing for a while now and she's been watching him intently. y/n's been thinking about how she'll tell him. while jay's been feeling giddy because he can feel y/n's eyes on him. suddenly, the song ended and a different one played.

a song more slower.

and that's when y/n had finally figured out how to tell him.

before jay could change the song, she got up. he looked at her with a curious look, but she just walked towards him. then, she wrapped her arms around his neck as she stood in front of him and he instantly held her waist. jay and y/n swayed side-by-side, their movements matching the beat of the song.

"jay?"

"mhm?"

"remember when you called me and told me about how you felt?"

"yeah?"

"well, i love you, too." she said, "more than a best friend."

he swore he felt his heart pause for a little bit. was he dreaming? did he hear her correctly? did she just say yes? he can't believe it.

"w-what?"

she laughed at his reaction, "i love you!"

"you love me as in i love you?"

"yeah!"

he hugged her tight, carried her off the ground, and spun her around- earning a wholehearted laugh from y/n. he put her down and caressed her cheek, staring at her with a big smile, "you really do?"

she only nodded and kissed his cheek.

"you missed" he said,

"huh?"

he pecked her lips, "there"
