After I explained the situation to Earth, she wanted to go rip his head off. Once I had calmed her down, she helped me come up with a scheme to get him back. I was going to dance with a ton of guys, or even just one to make him jealous.
So we both traveled out to the dance floor, grinding together. I admit it was one of my lower moments, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I felt a strong pair of hands on my hips, pulling me back into an even stronger chest. I wasn't one for body builders, but I couldn't be picky with my plan. I turned around to find a guy with long brown hair, and dull brown eyes. He was kind of cute, so he would have to do.
" Helloooo." His drunken voice slurred, grinding his hips on me. I swallowed my pride, and started moving with him. His hands started to wander too far south, if you know what I mean. I slapped his hand away. I wasn't willing to get molested for a scheme. He kept his hands at a reasonable place, before he tried to explore again.
This time I slapped him, and moved away, trying to find Earth again. I found her grinding shamelessly with a beefy guy, and I pulled her away. " Hey, I need your help finding a decent guy. The last one tried to molest me." Earth turned red with rage, looking around as if she would recognize him. " Where is the son of a bitch? I'll kill him." I clutched her arm, pulling her back.
" Don't worry about it. Just dance with me." She nodded, grabbing my hands. She squatted down on the floor, as I danced around her, swaying my hips sensually. I felt a tap on my shoulder, turning to see a guy with blonde hair, and light gray eyes. No where near as gray as Elliots though. " Hello, my names Derrin." He held out his hand, which I took, shaking. He didn't let go, once are hands had stilled.
" Liabell." I smiled, mirroring his own. He pulled me to him, swinging our hips together. " So how old are you Liabell?" " Well that all depends. If your a cop I'm 21 if your a incredibly sexy man, who wants my number, I'm 18." I had never been so confident in my life, and it was like a new me. " Well, If you offering your number, I'm certainly not going to refuse." He flirted, grinding extra hard against me.
He turned me around, running his hands along my sides. " So how old are you, Derrin?" He dipped his head into my neck, nibbling my ear. " 23, quite an age difference." " Hopefully not enough to change your opinion of me." " Never..." He whispered, placing a single kiss on my collar bone.
" Well, in that case--" I was cut off, being pulled into a deep, familiar chest. " Touch my girl again, and I'll decapitate you." Elliot hauled me off, dragging me through a side exit. " What the hell, was that?" I screamed now that we were outside, in an alley way.
" I don't know what your talking about." Elliot started walking away, but I wasn't having it. " Oh no you don't." I yelled, grabbing his arm, making him face me. " Your the one who said we were just friends. So don't go all jealous boyfriend on me. I don't know what you want!" He ran a hand over his face, before heaving a breath. " I want you god damn it! But it will never work. I'm freaking immortal, Lia! Your just a human, and I can't do that to you. I can't be selfish, not with you."
I stepped forward grabbing his chin in my hands. " Stop. Just stop thinking. What do you feel?" I whispered, stroking his cheek bones. He gazed into my eyes, never breaking contact. " You make me feel alive. Like I'm still a human. You make me feel confused, and frustrated, and I love it. You make me crazy, in the best and worst way possible. But we can--" " Shh..." I put a finger to his lips. " No buts."
" Elliot, I'm not asking for forever, I'm asking for now. Why can't we just take it slow, see where it goes? I'm not saying I want to marry you, and have your babies." He chuckled into my palm, locking his gaze onto mine. " I'm saying, I want to see what happens. I'm saying... I don't care if your not human, and your not being selfish. I want this just as bad as you do. So please, just...try." He stared at me for the longest time, but I couldn't read his response.
He leaned his head down, placing a slow lingering kiss on my lips. " Okay." He breathed.
