Thursday

"Good Morning beautiful." I couldn't help but smile at Jordan and that beautiful smile of his.

"Morning."

Then he started talking about how he has football practice after school and didn't want to go.

"I can stay and watch." i suggested and that just made him smile even harder.

"Really?" he glanced at me.

"Yes. I can sit in the bleachers and read my lines. Then maybe we can hang out after." I watched as he took the textbook from my arms and carried it for me.

I shut my locker and walked with him to my next class. Which just happened to be far away from my locker.

"What do you wanna do after school?" i questioned him.

"Can we go swimming at your place?" he suggested and i was all for it.

"Yes!"

"Sounds like a plan." he smiled contently.

After school: Football practice

I watched as Jordan and the rest of the boys played a mini scrimmage. They were practicing for their game tomorrow.

I could tell Coach Baker was stressed about it because he kept pushing and pushing them.

I would watch them practice for five minutes then read my lines then take a break every 10 minutes.

I had such a short attention span when i came to reading.

I really wanted this part. I even printed parts of the script and put them in ziploc bags and taped them to my shower walls. I was dedicated.

But it was hard to focus when Jordan was right there. I couldn't help but watch him.

But after a while i started getting really into reading the script. So into it that i didn't even realize there was a whole commotion going on in the field.

My eyebrows knitted together in confusion as i watched Coach Baker shout after Jordan. I just watched as Jordan took his helmet, chucked it at the ground and stormed off the field.

What the hell did i just miss?

"Jordan?" i packed up my things and tried to catch up to him.

"Jordan!" i called out as i sprinted after him.

But he was so mad he ignored me.

"Um i'm calling you!" i raised my voice as i followed him into the locker room.

"Kova get out. you can't be in here."

"I don't give a fuck!" i crossed my arms as i watched him frustratedly sit on a bench.

"What's wrong?" i watched as he held his head in his hands, staring at the floor.

"I'm just sick of my dad overlooking me. It's like he's so focused on Spencer he can never appreciate me." i swear i could hear him sniffle.

"Aww Jordan...." i pouted as i kneeled down to comfort him.

"No just forget it." he stood up and walked off to open his gym locker.

"Hey don't bottle up your emotions." i stood there.

"Can you please stop acting like you care?" he rolled his eyes at me.

"Who says i'm acting?" i crossed my arms. "People actually do care about you Jordan."

"Not my dad." then he just broke down.

"Jordan." my voice cracked as i walked over to where he stood.

Before i could even hug him, he immediately engulfed me into a bear hug.

"I do everything i can to satisfy him, but i'm just not enough." his voice was broken.

"Yes you are." i held him tight.

"Don't cry please. You're going to make me cry." then before you know it, i was crying with him.

"Kova don't cry." Jordan pouted.

We both pulled from the hug and just looked in each other's eyes. With no hesitation we both wiped each other's tears.

"I care and appreciate you." I let it be known.

Then i did what anybody in my shoes would do.

I went on my tippy toes and pulled him into a strong, passionate kiss.

It was very in the moment. But i don't regret it one bit.

I love Jordan.
